Maybe when Mariah or Madonna go independent, like Jewel after her last successful album, then they wouldn't seem as desperate as they look right now. I also think this could be a good career path for Gaga too if her albums start to actually flop.

If she would put out albums independently you would stop supporting her? I know we don't have to worry about this for probably a decade but i think this would look good because going independent is the ultimate declaration of: "I don't care about the bling only about the music"
