Radio add day in Sweden. Still A listed on our biggest radio station (2-3 spins/day). Get's about 4-6 spins everyday on the 3 big pop stations. P3 (pretty much the bbc radio 1 here) has still not added shallow, they only play it during the top 30 weekly countdown of our official chart and during 0-6.00 in the night since they share the program with another station. :triggered:

Today is the last day of Grammy voting.

Voters have had the last 2 weeks to vote.

Pop categories and Visual/Media categories are determined solely by the popular vote. We’re competing in Pop Duo/Group and Best Song Written for V/M.

Nominations for Record and Song of the Year will have a committee narrow it down to 8 nominees.

Nominations are announced 5 weeks from today.

I hope some elite liddos with connections to voters spared some hole in exchange for Shallow votes :woohoo:

Not that it ruined the music industry but that spotify is now very important in the music industry and you can't have huge hit without streaming being a factor. Back then, streaming wasn't a big deal. Sales were the main component and determined the position of the song on the Hot 100. Now, Gaga has the number one song on sales for weeks now and it's already dropped out of the top ten.

It's not to say that rap music hasn't always been big. It just seems bigger now because it's actually charting. Back before spotify and apple music, rap music was mainly downloaded illegally, causing those low peaks. Now, because of streaming, you don't have to pay for music. This is beneficial for the people that downloaded songs illegally back then because now it's not illegal. Rap songs are dominate.

So, yeah, streaming and rap music didn't ruin music per se. It's just that now that sales aren't as important as streaming and that, to me, is not fair for the songs that people pay money for.

For the money thing, I understand the frustration but it's a good thing that poor people and those who can't afford to buy music get a say now. And it still takes a lot of streams to count as one sale. :) It's not perfect but it's better than counting just sales.

iTunes Worldwide

1. Shallow(=) 32nd day at #1

2. ARUTW(=) 8th day at #2

4. I’ll Never Love Again(+2) *NEW PEAK

ALBUMS

1. A Star Is Born(=) 20 days at #1

89. Joanne (+4)

187. ARTPOP(-44) :messga:

This is just proof that all the people who say it's TF/TFM that carry her for nostalgia are wrong. It's almost always Joanne and ARTPOP that rise organically and the others when she performs those songs.

Spoiler

I've overheard their theory, "Nostalgia's for geeks." I guess, sir, if you say so, some of just like to read. :queenga:

ASIB finally gets the #1 it deserves on the province of Quebec (Canada) box office chart, with a 296 339 $ 4th week-end.

Total gross in my province alone stands at 2 452 044 $

It should pass Venom next week or in two weeks, which is at 2 650 882 $ total gross.
