I don't think it was unnecessary tbh. Cardi humiliated Nicki and they were the only ones who could really prove the slander wrong rather then just let it be.

Whatever Cardi is wrong or right on this little mix pass, Nicki is still petty af

Since I am responding to an answer about them said to have huge success in States, when you say someone had a "huge success", that means people at least know the tunes of a song, or their band name. Example: 1D, people in USA at least know the face or the name one of the member (usually harry or Zayn), and/or they know one of their song even if they may not know the title, or as the locals put it, that "makes you beautiful" song. Or Spice Girls. Little Mix is none of those here. So I beg to differ :giggle:

Besides, what accolades do they have in the USA? They don't even have Top 10 hits here, let alone #1, The fact some Murican users here wondered if they are that big is enough saying tbh, even Dua Lipa is more known than them here, and she is only got 1 album, hence saying "huge success" is over estimating. :giggle:

I’ve already checked what their US chart success was and their 2nd and 3rd albums were both top 10 on billboard

I like them but wow, that was more than a bit unprofessional and doesn't reflect well on them at all. Their album is apparently all about female empowerment which is why they made a point of only featuring women on it and yet here they are, trying to drag a woman down. Of course I knew they must have wanted Nicki on their song right from the start but they never rose to the level where Nicki would give them the time of day. Now that they finally have earned their dues with their longevity in the industry, Nicki now wants to work with them, only problem is, she's on her way out and the girls have started really liking Cardi lately...but they've got to remain loyal and stick with their original choice. And by nailing their colours to the mast with a post like this, they'll feel they've got Nicki's back for life, which will secure their place in the industry even more. But they underestimate how fickle Nicki can be. She'll discard them as soon as this song's over, so I don't know why they're defending her so much. I can't help but feel that they're on the defensive because they're a bit stung that they only got Nicki right when she's at the lowest point in her career and it therefore looks like they chose her only because they couldn't get Cardi, the current queen of the scene because she was too successful to team up with the likes of a girl group who's only truly big in the UK.

Oh agreed 100%. But I think in the music industry where the gp really only accept one major female rapper at a time its necessary for her to hold her postition against Cardi. Not defending her tho, shes super egotistical and pressed
