Gaga has always stood behind the messages and statements she's made throughout her career without fear of losing fans. Those who think gay, trans rights don't matter or that we shouldn't do anything about shootings can leave this fandom.

Also you gotta define ignorant. Doesn't make much sense when social conservatism is literally based in racism, misogyny, homophobia, and other forms of ignorance. Even more than ignorance, pure malice or selfishness at times.

 

Here's an idea: we can disagree and still love each other unless our disagreement is rooted in my oppression and your denial of my right to exist.

there is nothing wrong with expanding your audience. It should be considered a win if you are even able get your political opponents to like you. Social conservatism is so outdated rn. No denying that ppl still hold these views but the most we can do is confine them to their thoughts

And frankly, the only oppression that exists is written in law. Why tf should you care if somebody thinks in an outdated way. As long as they don’t actively oppress you or hurt you (which you can take to court), then pay them no mind. You can’t police people’s thoughts and beliefs.
