However, I'm afraid "experiment with whatever she wants" may not mean the bizarre, aggressive electronic, spookyglam album a lot of us are picturing when the adjective "experimental" is brought up. She might go like, 22 minute Brian Newman duet with only shoobedyboobop scat vocals. (I would be here for that though!) When we think of the best of Madonna (ROL), Mariah (Butterfly), Lauryn (Miseducation) and Janet (Velvet Rope) are all seminal works in pop music. Strategically, yea, people know her talent by now but the GP forgets quickly. The second she goes all weird and not what people are comfortable with, they will go back to hating her. Classics are what she needs to go back to at this point until the world is tired of the current pop landscape, then she can come back and do something fun and different to change it up again.
