And yet they label democrats, or any other person that doesn't agree with their political way of thinking as snowflakes :fthis:

I just feel like it's going so far to extremes that no matter what anybody says, the damage has been done.

Don't worry guys, Trump says it's the media's fault

"During a rally Wednesday, President Donald Trump blamed partisanship and the media for fostering the political environment that led to suspicious packages and explosive devices being sent to public figures and organizations this week.

Speaking in Mosinee, Wis., Trump called for civility in politics saying, “The media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks and stories.”"

I thought he would say this sadly. Goes on TV pretending to care, saying we need to unify etc and goes to his little "rallys" and says the opposite. Sad really, this isn't a joke anymore, people could've died today and he just wants to deflect everything ugh. It's not even over yet, there could be more packages in the system

you do realize the topic of this thread is the bombing threats? all you say have no link with these events. Dropping two articles about the Trump administration doesn't show any credible causal relationship between trump and the bomb threats that we are discussing here.

I'm talking about Trump's America. You were talking about how you don't want to make a connection between Trump and connecting his election to rising violence in this country.

Well I disagree. I am not ready to make that link. At least not yet.

Told ya it was some Trump worshipper that bought into Trump’s rhetoric.

They're on right addresses. I don't care.

You reap what you sow.

I didn't see them care when bombing people around the world and killing hundreds of people and children. And now we should care cuz their rich and corrupted asses are at risk? I don't think so.

not at all. re-read again.

Anyway the US always has been a violent country, decades and centuries before Trump.

Y'all just want something to fit your easy political narrative.

I vote left just for the record.

His rhetoric and constant attacks causes division, anger and as we see here- violence. Trump’s twitter hate list is the same people that this guy targeted. Trump has emboldened the right wing nuts.

You didn't want to see that there is a link. There is a direct link in this case and to the increase in hate crime overall.

ugh yes, he's not guilty. Guilty is the person who sent the bomb. But the thing is that that person couldn't think that mailing bombs to people wasn't okay BECAUSE of the information he's getting from Trump's hate speech.

Trump isn't going to trial for this crime, but he's one of the reasons the person did this.

They had it coming and they deserve it. We could be equaly moral since you refuse to see how many people they've killed and still stan those criminals that media sells as heroes.

I mean that's not really a fair argument since half of y'all probably wouldn't mind condoning the murder of trump's ass,  just saying...

because no republicans received bomb threats trump is responsible? this is what we call a syllogistic fallacy:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syllogism

It's called an inferrence to the best explanation. That's what science does and it's a proper way of reasoning. Proper inductions would make any kind of discussion impossible. For example: scientists have 'proven' that cigarettes cause cancer. Tabacco companies used to say that though there is a link between the two, it could just as well be that people with a predisposition to cancer are more likely to smoke. But by inferring to the best explanation we can properly say with near certainty that smoking tabacco causes lung cancer. If we see that there's a rise n hate crimes against POC and other minorities beginning in 2016, we can properly say that Trump is a cause.

Trump might be a symptom of racism and hatred in the US, but that doesn't mean that he's not also a cause. He can be both at the same time. And for a terrorist that had Trump stickers all over his car, joined the Republican party in 2016 (when Trump took over the party) it's quite reasonable to say that Trump, Fox and the GOP ignited a big part of his hatred. Let's not forget that Trump has himself suggested that Clinton should be locked up, lynched, etc. and that conservative outlets have made up fables or conspiracies about pedo circles under pizza restaurants by the Democrats and the like. It's not at all weird to make a link between the rise of Trump and the increased hatred by Trump supporters that came after it. He, the GOP and their media validate, legitimize, spread and further radicalize the scary ideas that many of his supporters have.

And if Trump and his conservative outlets have their part in this, while they knew what they were doing, it's very proper to hold them responsible for it. They should have never suggested that HRC should be lynched and they should have never demonized the Democrats and left in general as much as they have done for people to think that the country is better off if they're killed.

Or, as right-wing people in the country where I live (the Netherlands) said after a far-right politician got killed by a green extremist, 'you created the circumstances under which this was possible and that makes you responsible'.
