Where're all those that said it was just a side project that would fade within a week? :ladyhaha:

People are saying LG6 is gonna flop and we don't even know the first thing about it. LM's are depressing af sometimes.

So it'll have a knock on with LG6. Today a colleague who is the definition of GP - has a fiat 500, I phone, only likes "popular" stuff - said she'd seen the movie and lov3d it then during break I could overhear a full on Gaga marathon going on. This movie is creating stans.

LG6 just needs some heavy ballads like ASIB  to connect with these people.

Yes LG6 should have a major Pop Lead (as big as JD, BR, BTW) and follow up with a ballad ala MR

Watch her get two hit singles next era now that we know she has pop fans and ballad fans

Some reason I cant post on the Charts thread so I have to post this here.

How long do you think we can hold onto #1 Album on BB200? Given that it is expected to hold onto #1 for a third week.

Upcoming releases as per HDD.

Date Artist Album Previous FW SPS Previous FW Sales

10.26.18 JOHN LEGEND A LEGENDARY CHRISTMAS----

10.26.18 PENTATONIX CHRISTMAS IS HERE! 69,000 59,000

4th Week - I think it can hold on against these two

====================================================

11.02.18 BARBRA STREISAND WALLS 149,000 148,000

5th Week - Barbara will probably get #1 for this, ASIB down to #2?

====================================================

11.09.18 IMAGINE DRAGONS ORIGINS 194,000 172,000

11.09.18 MUSE SIMULATION THEORY 84,000 79,000

6th Week - Not sure how much Barbara falls 2nd week but ID definitely will take #1, leaving ASIB between #2 and #3

====================================================

11.16.18 LITTLE MIX LM5 19,000 12,000

11.16.18 MARIAH CAREY CAUTION----

11.16.18 MICHAEL BUBLE LOVE 47,000 29,000

11.16.18 MUMFORD & SONS DELTA 249,000 231,000

7th Week - Looks like this is a busy week for releases. I didnt know M&S sold that much, so they'll have #1. Im thinking ASIB can still be within top 3

====================================================

11.23.18 KAYNE WEST YANDHI 208,000 84,000

11.23.18 RITA ORA PHOENIX----

8th Week - Kanye will for sure go #1. Rita will... anyways lets move on. If ASIB can hold onto around 80k i think it can stay top 3

====================================================

11.30.18 THE 1975 A BRIEF INQUIRY INTO ONLINE RELATIONSHIPS 108,000 98,000

9th Week - Is it bad I dont know who The 1975 are... Kanye might have a multiple #1 week but I am not aware of his previous #2 drop. Im thinking ASIB can still be top 3.

====================================================

Can we please stop calling it "a soundtrack". It's THE soundtrack of a box office success and a worldwide acclaimed (both by critics and audience) movie with huge Oscar buzz which features a famous singer which already had several Hits and #1 Albums, it's not Bradley Cooper's attempt to sing for a failed movie.

Had to edit this to clarify

By saying "stop calling it a soundtrack" I mean that of course it's an album for a movie, but it's still a Lady Gaga album too, so let's not pretend like this doesn't affect sales. People are buying and listening to it for the movie, but let's not ignore the fact that features a well known singer.

I'm not attacking anyone in particular, just making an observation, which is the album is doing well for both reasons.

Yeah exactly, if the songs weren’t primarily sung and written by the biggest pop phenomenon of the 2010’s, it would NOT be selling like this.

I’m not trying to shade her because she has her own skill set and still kills it on stage at age 50, but can you even imagine if they had cast JLo as initially intended (prior to Beyonce)? I guarantee it never would’ve even hit #1 its debut week.
