First #1 overall on the Hot 100 :)

Yes that is what I meant. Just surprising. Actually it is just kind of clear she (her label) didn't take any measures to buy it previously. I just wish she had of released a better single, even if it were more country twang.

I wish Taylor had released a better lead single, too. I loved Speak Now, and the overall quality of that album is greater that WANEGBT. Not that it's not a decent song, but it's definitely not one of her best.

I'm glad it's successful though. Tayl

Yeah "Never" definitely doesn't deserve to be a chart topper in terms of quality.

Surprises Taylor didn't score a Hot 100 #1 before. Proof that general popularity doesn't equal chart success (see Katy Perry multiple #1 yet not cultural impact and Bad Romance peaking at number 2 being a classic material)

Meh, not really concerned about her past discography. Long over with.

Waiting for new music tbh.

Thriller - Michael Jackson #4

Holiday - Madonna #16

Two perfect examples of songs that have become iconic but never topped the chart. :nails:

#1's don't mean **** if they're going to be forgotten soon.

For those of you interested, here is a link to X-Tina's latest lead single, Your Body, it's a FULL LQ demo, but it sounds pretty good overall: http://omfgmusic.net/post/30040545666/here-is-the-demo-of-xtina-dirty-new-single-your

The song itself is good. I like it. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that diverts from what is already on Pop Radio, but I personally don't blame her for taking the generic route, I would of done the same thing, had my previous lead single and album performed so poorly. I hope it performs well, I'm rooting for her because I don't want to see her career fall into shambles before me, even though her personality is far from likable, I think the whole Bionic Era gave her a little slap in the face and, hopefully, she can come back strong and actually make herself a noticeable presence in the music industry again and sell a considerable amount of albums and tour tickets. :)
