Katy Perry tried shoving politics down everyone's throat for the whole Witness era. The fact that she didn't do it in a good/successful way made her look even worse, even if you agreed with her. Ellen has a talk show and is a gay icon. Her coming out in the 90's was HUGE and most people who were adults in that era remember her for being one of the first majorly famous lesbians at a time when being gay was acceptable to very little people. No politicians at the time would support gay rights (Hillary Clinton included).

She hasn't done anything else other than speak out in support of BLM and other political issues in that vein. Girl? No sir.... not I. But, that’s the most poloraizng then she’s done, not the only thing she’s done. That’s like saying Gaga is only polorizing because of BTW. Beyoncé and Gaga have both talked about many issues from women to politics. You don’t like Bey that’s great but be mature enough to acknowledge the accomplishments and struggle she’s been through. Dear lord... May I Read You? 😎

The only people her call her such are those who hate seeing an openly political black woman at the top. They can't call her bad - because she obviously isn't - so they describe her as overrated LOL this is such trash. Beyonce has nothing on other black artists like Janet Jackson. Beyonce is a scrunge that just tries to leech off others fame.
hardcore1996 1,618
are you all forgetting she performed for both bush presidents at the same time? throughout her political advocacy with the trump situation she’s never talked ill of republicans she’s always had a ‘come together’ stance. not saying i agree with it, if i was her i would be more blunt about it but she’s definitely played it kinda safe with republicans, trump (a political anomaly) aside in RECENT years. hardcore1996 1,618
not to mention, beyonce isn’t out here covering sound of music or the “great american songbook”. Obviously, Gaga didn’t do that in a political way but the generation that is more likely to be republican is going to be more inclined to appriciate her vocal abilities when she’s singing pretty non-political and nostalgiac material.
