Gaga looks old here :vegas:

I think this is from around 1990. That would make her the same age Gaga is now.

It means the completely opposite of what Gaga's message is though. :deadbanana:

Am I surprised though. :reductive:

Well... These are different types of view, not exactly better or worse.

Madonna has always had the perfectionist-type speech. She listens to the ones who hate her because they are the ones she needs to convince and conquer. Criticism can make you go forward. If you listen to the critics, you recognise you are not perfect and you try to make it better. And better yet, if someone doesn't like you, you can defend yourself and argue about it and bring that person down, convincing them they are actually wrong to think that way.

Gaga, on the other hand, has always had the inspirational-speech, where she understands the underrated, bullied side, and tries to accept support from wherever it comes. She doesn't listen to critics, she does her thing, even if it's not the best. In fact, her evolution is not upwards, trying to improve herself more and more, her evolution is wider, she tries to explore herself in every range possible. And she doesn't want to convince anyone, as long as there's one person who likes it. Even if the haters are wrong.

So, yeah, no need to shade, Madonna has always been Madonna and Gaga has always been Gaga

Madonna isn’t the only person to say something like this tho, so honestly this thread is a bit silly:classy:

What everyone else said... she's saying the exact opposite of Gaga. It's just another soundbite that highlights Mad*nna's awful personality and ego.

Gaga talks about a room with 99 people that don't believe in her and how she focuses on the one who does, Madonna about a room with 99 people that like her and how she focuses on the one who doesn't. The difference between Gaga and Madonna. :deadbanana:

This isn't the same sentiment at all tho lol. Madonna is being pressed about haters and Gaga is looking at the one who did believe with positivity.

That's completely debatable and a matter of opinion though.

She says "I only remember the one person who didn't." and what I take away from it is that, the one person with the negative feedback about her song/album affects her more than the 99 other people who had nice things to say about it. Her mind is more focused on that small speck of negativity and not the overwhelming about of positivity surrounding it. You can listen to critics to make yourself better, sure, but you can't also please every critic in the world and it's not even possible for every one of them to like your work. And also.. if you try to fix and change to please every critic in the world.. will there be anything even left of the artist?

But it's not possible that everyone will like you though, is she gonna argue with every single person who does? And people can dislike anyone's music, it's just a matter of personal taste, it doesn't make them wrong to think that way.

Luxe Ford

Either Gaga watched this and remembered it subconsciously or it's just a fluke coincidence. Probably the latter.

Never mind Madonna fans. Let them stew.
