I like their strategy. They have good Spotify playlist placement, especially on TTH. Shallow’s already top 10 WW, and her Spotify numbers keep improving.

So, by giving Apple Music the exclusive, she may be able to secure a banner or better playlist placement there as well. This should help her improve on her current WW position (I think ~30).

Tbh, I'm not here for I'll never love again. It reminds me to much of Houston songs and Mariah in the 90's. I'm team shallow for the Oscars. Bradley it's a big part why the song is a sucess (and the movie) he deserves to perform it at the Oscars. It would be iconic. 

But I also like INLA, just not Oscar material to me.

It is. And, she can do it without stepping on anyone's toes. Placements are by a bidding system like Google ad sense. Labels are able to track metrics much better this way and really strategically target their audience.

I honestly think they should've held off on the I'll Never Love Again video. For one, I actually respected the fact they wanted to keep from spoilers (or wait a little bit) but also, promote Always Remember Us This Way while its excelling, and save a campaign for INLA during awards season.
