BlahForever1 671 Posted October 18, 2018 Share Posted October 18, 2018 New Zealand Chart Update (ASIB was officially released here today): Shallow: 1 on iKoons (= has been number 1 since yesterday, and was number 2 in NZ since its release) 9 on AM (+3 - this is its new peak on AM, and as far as I am aware, the first Gaga song to reach the top ten on AM in NZ) 20 on Spotify (= its peak position so far; has been steadily rising for the last 2/3 days so I suspect we'll see another big jump when the NZ Spotify chart updates again) ASIB: 1 on iKoons (= has been number 1 all week) 3 on AM (+3 - this is the ST's new peak on AM so far) Bonus: ARUTW is number 3 on iKoons, while INLA (film version) is 17, Maybe it's time is 22, ITA is 36, and MTME is 52.Β The movie has been out here for barely 24 hours, and there's been an immediate impact already on both sales and streaming! Before the film was released, the soundtrack was doing well on iTunes, and Shallow was doing well in terms of sales and streaming on AM, but was lagging behind on Spotify. The combination of the TTH placement + movie release should finally give Shallow enough steam to crack the NZ top 40 this week. My friends are big Oscar followers and they were all saying that Shallow should be the song they push for best original song, a few mentioned INLA, but they all felt that shallow was the song of the movie.
