Just the thought of Gaga getting a Grammy (or multiple ones) for Shallow makes me so happy! Now we just gotta do our part! :excited2:

If Shallow is really becoming a hit this will definitely increases her chances to win at least one grammy for the song.

So, yes, the $36 million-budgeted film has now earned 2.8x its budget in North America alone, with around 4x its budget when overseas ($42m as of Sunday) is added into the pot. At this point, the movie has cemented itself as the Oscar frontrunner.

It is now essentially “A Star is Born versus everything else” even if it may not dominate the year-end critic polls and various top-ten lists.

The only commercial Oscar contenders left are Widows, Bohemian Rhapsody, Green Book and maybe The Mule. Welcome to Marwen is likely going for holiday bucks versus awards. On the Basis of Sex (a Ruth Bader Ginsberg biopic) and Vice (a **** Cheney biopic) may be hits or may be doomed to be more blogged about than seen. The rest, including The Favourite, The Front Runner (which is okay), If Beale Street Could Talk, Mary: Queen of Scots, Vox Lux and Netflix's Roma, would each be thrilled to gross what A Star is Born made on its opening weekend.

Bohemian Rhapsody opened to mixed reactions. Vox Lux is basically out of the race for being so polarizing. Mary Queen of Scots, according to critiques, is not Oscar Material.

It's going to be ASIB vs Roma vs BlacKKKlansman vs If Beale Street Could Talk.

Green Book and Vice could surprise though

Yes it does. Oscars usually have a couple slots for big Hollywood kind of movies and the one that makes the bigger impact (aka the bigger box office) while still keeping its indie filn essence is the front runner.

Shallow was #3 on the Q-Daily 5, so that was the main reason. They also talked about here engagement. And they mentioned @JonathanHolland1 :vegas:

What kind of outfit do you think Gags will wear for her 5th consecutive performance at the Grammys next year?
