Nothing about it is bad. It's a bop and better than many hit pop songs. The lyrics sound silly compared to other songs in the movie, but not compared to other pop songs. Have y'all heard Side to Side?

if somebody's asked to write a song for kids, he/she will write a song very catchy and simple, but not "banal" and "bad"... here is the same thing... Gaga wrote a song like she was writing for a Britney/Christina teen Pop Star  kind of act, that's it. 

and on the same spirit, lyrics (namely the a** verse) are meant to be as simple as possible, and that's intentional... But thinking she (and her collaborators) wrote the song to sound bad is simply ridiculous IMO.
