Favorite and least favorite Gaga scenes

There are so many great moments but Im just going to pick two.

Favorites:

1. The scene when Ally tells Jack about Rez and then he smears cake on her face. Ally at first is really mad and I though she was going to stay angry and yell at him but her anger just melts as he smears more cake on her and she says to him, "Jackson" like she is scolding her dog.  Then she moves away while they are pressing their heads together making him bang into the wall and walks away all satisfied like she won the war without having to yell. I think that scene was wonderfully hilarious and so well acted. 

2. When Ally visits Jack during rehab and he apologizes, there is this single tear that wells up in Ally's eyes and it just sits there precariously for like 30 seconds before it trickles down her face. Gaga is simply incredible at the really emotional scenes. She is seriously a master at getting herself so emotionally invested in her character and the scenes that she is able to cry on camera. It is very difficult to be able to do that. 

Least Favorite: Although I loved this movie, there were a few moments where I felt like Gaga's acting or the writing was too dramatic/theatrical.

1. The 1st time we meet Ally she yells, "**** men, ughhhhhhghghh!!!" in the bathroom. Like, nobody screams in a public bathroom in real life so I felt like that moment was unrealistic which gave it a cheesy vibe. 

2. When Ally's Dad tells her there is someone outside looking for her, she gets frustrated and says, "ughhhhh" dramatically and kind of shakes her head. Again I don't think anyone in real life ever acts that dramatic when they are upset so the moment to me came across as someone trying to act upset. 

3. When Ally walks into the restaurant and her boss tells her she is late again, she responds by yelling, "Im what??!?!?" I love that reaction but I think its misplaced considering the circumstances. If her boss said to her, "you are ****ing late again you ugly bitch," then her reaction would have been justified. But who responds the way she did when their boss simply says they are late?

Seriously? I mean, I think its pretty reasonable for a boss to say "you're late" in a disappointing tone if you are in fact late. It seems unrealistic to me for an employee to respond in such a shocked and angry way.

I definitely had favorite Gaga scenes, but I'll be honest, I don't think I had a "least favorite" one. I will say though, that I think that she was better in the second half of the movie than the first half (which is contradictory to what a lot of people think).

Some of my favorite scenes though are the ones where she gets extremely emotional (i.e. the opening restroom scene, the bathtub scene where her and Jack fight—that was one of my favorite scenes throughout the entire film—, and the scene where she gets angry at Jack for committing suicide and smashes his framed poster/record.

My favorite scene is definitely when Ally and Jack fight while she's in the tub. 

My least favorite scene wasn't because of the acting, but just because it was so real it made me cringe bad. It was at the cop bar when that guy comes up to Jackson and asks him to take his picture because he didn't have his phone or something. Same with the cashier. Just so cringy.

But as far as acting to dramatic, I don't think that's the case. I have screamed at the top of my lungs in the parking lot of my job. Depending on the authority figure, I would yell back at them for even slight condescension. In fairness, I had job security so I was worried about being fired or anything. And sometimes humans are just stupidly frustrating. If Ally is anything like me, then she likely bottled everything up and these "explosive" outbursts are rare, but are very dramatic.

My favorite moment is when she rolls up to the concert and Gail opens the door and immediately projects “HI ALLY I’M GAIL “ I have an unhealthy appreciation for Gail and her energy.

When you don’t have a good relationship with your supervisor and/or having a bad day. The slightest comment can set you off like that lmao!

Yeah that you're late, I'm whaaaat scene doesn't transition well..

The beginning of the film had a few cheesy acting from Gaga, thank god that disappeared quickly

Its so disrespectful though to respond that way....If im late im extremely apologetic to my boss, not angry at him/her and I have had really bad bosses.

2. The bit where Jack rubs cake on Allys face, so funny 

 

Least: 

(unpopular opinion) I didn't like the parking lot scene it kinda bored me and Gaga singing went on a bit too long imo.
