StrawberryBlond 15,061
To anyone who's trying to say that this is racist or overly petty, you're missing the point. The point is that rap has been a force the last few years, a force to the extent that it has all but pushed other genres out the way and become the top genre for a while now. It means that other genres are struggling to get played on radio or even accepted because the public is so focused on rap. This happened a few years before that when electropop reigned and it sparked the death knell for a lot of rap and RnB careers, even if only temporarily. It's all coming around again. It's a big deal that ASIB's song have managed to break through with its sound that is so different to what the public wants right now. We'd say the same thing if any other genre was winning to the exclusion of all others and for Gaga to defy convention with this album is one hell of an achievement. PartySick 164,681
Good tired of basic hip hop and rap tbh. Sex, drugs, drama, and c*ck measuring contests. It's old. We need 2009 to repeat itself and give substantive pop music a platform again, thanks 🥀
