I wonder if the other versions have a scene like it. iirc the first two versions end with his character (both called Norman Maine) walking into ocean but don’t show the girl (Esther Blodgett / Vicki Lester) finding out (the films both end without seeing her again). the Streisand version he dies in a car crash and i think she does learn about it and she chews the scenery, it ends with a scene of her singing one of his songs (similar to him writing Ally’s final song in this version) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
