I get that the 99 people thing is tired, but I feel like y'all are being too hard on her for 'scripting' some of her responses. I have anxiety and I literally script phone conversations all the time bc of it. Otherwise I'm just an awkward mess and slur my answers lol. Also her little awkward laugh is too cute

I think that most of the time people are just joking about that, but I agree. I feel like because the movie industry is still so new to her, she may not know how to approach things fully like she does when talking about her music.

Also, the awkward laugh is sooo cute!

to be honest I think this felt like the most natural interview to promote this movie so far

Even if she repeated herself, she sounded like a normal person.

Here's the thing though, not everyone is a little monster and not everyone has watched every single interview she's done to promote ASIB. Yes, she repeats herself a lot, but interviewers also tend to always ask the same questions.

I still think this was the best interview of the bunch, I stan Colbert and he did a good job of making her feel at ease. The bit about Dr. Ford is very powerful too.

Also the fact that they both spoke in French

Tbh, Colbert staring gave me the creeps. He was just silent with... Well... Poker face

After LG went off? He was speechless. So was I. Her speech was a moment.

okay but seriously why have her interviews on this press junket all had these same canned answers? i’ve stanned her since day 1 when Just Dance came out but haven’t always fallowed her press rounds like i’ve done for this movie, has she always been canned like this?

There is a difference in scripting and answering questions for her albums and record company, versus doing the rounds and promoting a film that is from a whole different company.  Her answers are safer and more repetitive because she wants to reach more audiences. Answering this question about Sexual Assault was very important, but it was also very risky for maintaining a non-controversial image for the promotion of this film. I've actually heard of people not going to see Meryl Streep films, or Angelina Jolie films because they think those women push a strong liberal Agenda.

Thank you, someone with common sense!. Questions like "how did you guys meet/ how did this start" are obvious. And monsters expect her to respond differently or what?

Anyways, in other news, Sam Elliot was on Colbert tonight, talking about ASIB and reading out some Gaga lyrics.
