I LOVE the band, and listened to it in full , but this is good news for Gaga. While ASIB has leaked to some capacity as well, it's not as widespread as this is. Trench leaking could lead to more room for ASIB to debut at #1 -- or give it a larger lead. In a general sense, Trench has a chance to be #1, but. Fueled by Ramen has seriously mispromoted this, their FOUR singles all flopped and there isn't much public hype outside their fandom. However, the clique is probably the most devout fanbase to their idols. It's small, but dangerous. In 2015, it stunned the industry when Blurryface debuted at #1 with over 200k units (no big hits -- yet). Months later, they sold out an arena quicker than Taylor Swift did in Columbus on the same night and that also stunned the industry. So, don't get too cocky about Gaga's debut. Streaming, buying and word-of-mouth promotion is still KEY! In terms of quality, in a general sense, A Star Is Born will likely end with better reviews. I haven't heard the album in full yet, but after listening to Trench, it won't be hard. Trench is very clique-friendly and not friendly for the general public, and ASIB is the exact opposite. Their self-titled work is some of the most raw, authentic and in-your-face music about depression and mental illness. They've been a cult band from the midwest for YEARS and made in mainstream two years ago. They're pretty good. It's excellent points (Chlorine) are PHENOMEONAL, their weak points (Bandito, Cut My Lip) are AWFUL. Self-Titled will probably remain my favorite of theirs. Self Titled was my fav b4 Trench came out HOW DON'T YOU LIKE BANDITO AND CML Pet Cheetah is the best song on the album imo, THAT ENDING I'd say the only song that's getting a while to stick to me is Leave The City Life has a hopeful undertone |-/ Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
