I’m wondering if they wrote this song thinking of Whitney. Villanelle 1,251 Posted October 3, 2018 Author Share Posted October 3, 2018 There's quite a lot of elements to I'll Never Love Again (scene) that are touching and notable: -Judy Garland performed her last scene on that stage (either her last scene in a movie or her last performance ever...someone clarify!) -Sonja's death OBVIOUSLY playing a huge factor here. -The references to Whitney which I am pretty sure are unintentional tbh, but it shines through and it's lovely.
