To submit as nominee hopefuls there are only 2 main rules: release the movin within the nominee consideration phase, and release it in California during this time space. Maybe for Oscar I guess? 3 months is very standard for DVD/Blu-ray these days, i remember infinity war was released 3 months almost exactly to the day after it was in theaters. even if it weren’t available officially we would have gotten the awards screener probably around the same time.
