They are supposed to be a parody of pop music. They're from a point in the film where Ally is being manipulated by the music industry and be less geniune in her work. She also said that she didn't want people to think of Gaga when they saw Ally and heard her music. So she's not paying dust to anything. She made music according to the character and the story. You understood that these are just that - pop songs. I haven't seen the movie yet but I already feel as though I understand why she wrote them.. she was poking fun at how very easy it is to just write a casual random silly song lyrics, throw a beat on it and call it a pop song... As EVERYONE has said, this is through the eyes, spirit, mind and soul of the character of Ally. You've gotta understand.. Lady Gaga knows how to write a pop song. That's been clear since 2007. Don't panic. It's a movie. Enjoy it. The beats on it are ****ing sick, hats off to DJWS. Although they are silly pop songs the bass is ****ing killer.
