I don't know if this has been posted already, but I figured fans were interested regardless.

In light of Gaga's latest controversy (Fur controversy) PETA decided it would be appropriate to bash Gaga incessantly for her wearing fur. Well, it turns out Mother Monster sticks to her word and both fur coats she has been seen wearing ARE indeed FAKE.

Dominated by pants and flats, this collection pretty much evokes the spirit of 80s masculine fashion looks using various classic elements, which then followed by feminine subtlety, lightness, and elegance in number of shift dresses, faux-fur coats, and hyper-feminine blouses with a brightly colored print.

Christophe Lemaire's third outing at Hermès made a strong case for the cloak. They were everywhere in his Argentinian cowboy-inspired Fall 2012 collection  and in drapey leather, fringed cashmere, high-pile fur, and slouchy wool, they pretty much stole the show.

There you have it. It seems like PETA didn't do their research. ROCK THEM FAUX-FUR COATS GAGA!

You have got to be kidding me for defending after she publicly said she has proudly worn fur BEFORE if not this time and says she is proud upon her stance on the issue.

It's not about whether she did with Hermes and Armani or not. It's about the example she is setting for many of hers fans (as seen here in GREAT abundance) who will do or defend absolutely anything she says or does. Last time I checked, she stood for compassion and good treatment of Gods creations, and animals feel pain just as much as humans do. Have you guys EVER actually seen a video of an animal being killed to make fur?

And she wears leather. And latex. And meat. I've seen her chew gum, so she consumes gelatin as well. At this point, her being AGAINST wearing fur would make her look incredibly uneducated. Grow up.

They're real, she basically admitted that. Clearly her views on wearing fur have changed.

She did not admit that? Where the f*ck did you get that from? She was being SUBTLE in her statement, because caving under pressure whether or not her coat was real because PETA was involved would be hypocritical (like PETA and most people who scream and shout about all this), which she is NOT. The coat was FAKE (check a couple of posts above this one, I'm not going to post the link again and that post has solid proof for the Armani coat as well) seeing that she wears leather and has worn meat. She criticized PETA and stayed extremely classy, though she made it clear her views have not changed. She said she has always stayed away from skinned fur and that animal rights are a subject very close to her heart, which is exactly the reason why she does not endorse violent, morally corrupt organizations like PETA.

---

People please, WHY ARE WE STILL GOING ON ABOUT IT? PETA is a shameful, violent domestic terrorist organization. Both coats in question? NOT REAL FUR, one of which, the Hermes one, was confirmed fake since she said it was Hermes (when you look up the Hermes 2012 Fall collection it says that THAT coat is made of high-pile fur aka synthetic fur - and Hermes hasn't been using much - if any - real fur for some time). GAGA? Responded in a splendid, strong, classy and simply beautiful way, and refused to say whether the coat in question was real or not because that would be hypocritical since she wears other animal-derived clothing as well. Unlike PETA, she is not a hypocrite. END OF STORY. Capisce?

To the fans. i want you to know that I care deeply about your feelings and views, and I will always support your philosophies about life. We've been having over-arching conversations about society, equality, and politics for the past five years, and we should continue. I do not however support violent, abusive, and childish campaigns for ANY CAUSE. Particularly one that I respect. "Animal Rights." I am choosing not to comment on whether or not the furs I purchase are faux fur-pile or real because I would think it hypercritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, "kermit" and not to mention meat, that I have already worn. This should already put me in a category as one who appreciates and adores the beauty of animals in fashion, but am not a strict vegan. I have truly always stayed away from skinned fur, especially i have never been able to afford a nice one, but this does not mean my morals are rigid and that I won't bend at the sight of an absolute art piece of a coat. I have no chains about this. You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance. But I am truly sorry to fans who are upset by this, its a fair and applaudable feeling about the health and safety of animals. I respect your views, please respect mine.

And to campaigners, Save your flour to make bread for the children who are hungry. And Kim Kardashian is fabulous.

There you guys go. From littlemonsters.com

I'm sure she's rich enough to buy meat from animals that died of natural causes. A friend of mine only eats meat from animals that have died of natural causes, it's a lot more expensive, but I seriously doubt it'd be a stretch for her ;P

So how do we know the fur coat wasn't made of an animal who died of natural causes? That doesn't really change anything. The point is that an animal is being used for unnecessary reasons. That doesn't really bother me that much, but it does others, and I understand why.

At least it's being used for a reason rather than rotting somewhere. Then again, I don't really believe in an afterlife or anything like that, so I can see how some people would feel the way you do. But I believe that once it's dead using it doesn't hurt, bother, or effect the animal in any way, so why not?

Because each time a fur coat is purchased, the demand for fur goes up, meaning more will be supplied, meaning more animals will be killed, whether or not the one originally purchased died of natural causes.

Like I said, I don't care about it, myself.

If that's the case whether she uses fake or real furs, people can't tell at the average glance and they will still be inspired to buy furs increasing the demand like you said anyway.
