The Difference Between New and Veteran Fans

The one AND only problem I have with „new“ fans is that they are complaining to much. What concerns the other things, I don’t really agree, I definitly think you can watch Gaga’s old interview/visions and feel the same as some of us did. But I don’t like this „New and Old fans“ thing. A fan is a fan, point. :vegas:

(Can’t believe I really was 9 years old when I began to become a fan of her.

I'm a fan since summer of 2010 and even thought I love her past, I'm still more into Gaga from nowadays, I'm always looking forward when it comes to her and not just this but I love seeing her do stuff that she always wanted to do and actually make it work, idk but I love seeing her being more free and more mature overall

For example people who joined during C2C era seem to want Gaga only to do and record jazz music. And they always drag pop/rock/electro music fans because “they want Gaga to do stuff that requires more talent.

:gaysia:

I’m somewhat guilty of that sentiment. However, I thought Joanne showed off her talent as well.

It did tho and I agree BUT there are lots of pop fans in here too and we need to cooperate :huntyga:and Joanne is not really a dance pop record..

As long as her vocals are at the forefront (which imo wasn’t really true until C2C), I’m open to most styles of music she could choose from. If that happens to be dancepop, so be it.

Smother Em Eh

Newbies bitch and moan and demand things. Veteran members are true stans and happy with whatever direction Gaga decides to go in & what she puts out.

I don't know if I agree with the majority sentiment that 'veteran monsters' complain less - I think there are still TF/TFM era monsters who want her to go back to those days. I also think the newer fans are sometimes... less familiar with her transformations - they became fans during one period of transformation (whether that be EDM, Jazz, Americana) and that's the Gaga they love.

I also think there are newer fans though that don't care as much about chart success, which is nice, some older fans cling on to her past success and want her to replicate and/or top that. There are also veteran fans that have gone through the lower points of Gaga's career and as a result only care about the work she puts out rather than wanting or expecting success - while many newer fans might want Gaga to reach the chart heights of her contemporaries that their friends listen to.

I just think there is diversity within both groups and I don't know that I see a real difference between the two, and this is from someone who has been a fan since Just Dance.

I became a fan in July 2014, just before Anything Goes was released (without having any knowledge about a jazz project), so I think I qualify as a new fan (even though it's been over 4 years lol - ALREADY wtf I'm aging) and I don't necessarily want her to go back to her pop roots - I want her to do what the f*ck she wants, because it's always amazing! I think I'll always be very emotionally attached to her Joanne era self, since it was my first full solo Gaga era as a stan, but I'm very excited to see where she takes us next. When she does what she wants, it's good. That's all I want from her. And that's what she's doing. So I'm happy.
