Fox is already Disney's. It's been approved since July 2018. They are only on finalizing steps. And DOJ (Department Of Justice) been approved of the deal since June 2018. And the acquisition occured immediately since. Disney CEO have given Feige full control for all Fox Marvel related content. The Merger is approved.. But you are correct it will be a couple years before any possibility.. Even if it were possible today, it would be ridiculous to include them in the current story lines. It would be like.. Ok 10 years of invasions and drama in the entire avengers setup and you never showed your faces? Girls were you taking a super hero break? The merger could still be overturned, it is NOT yet finalized. The Fox share holders approved it, that's done. No one can submit bids to Fox, but that does not close the deal. US government and International government approval is still needed. The Department of Justice could still appeal, as they did with the Time Warner/AT and T deal. As I said above, shareholders of Fox approved Disney's bid, but we are still a year away from this being a done deal. Government approval is needed and that may fall through like in the AT&T Time Warner deal. Disney must show that they are able to divest from Fox's sports and news stations, and things are still not finalized. Feige has said he won't even think about F4 and X-Men until things are officially finalized, if they include anything Fox owned right now the entire merger could be off. This is a very important arc in the X Men franchise and I hope it's not yet another Last Stand mess. They made Days of Future Past for a reason and I hope they don't screw it up AGAIN.
