She cares about people's emotions a lot. She is in intense pain because of fibromyalgia, getting massages. She metaphorizes the pain as someone pulling a string in her toe and it's hurting her entire right side from toe to head. This struck me as N. Then she goes on about how some people who don't have the economic means she has would deal with this condition. ("They might not even get diagnosed. They might not be able to afford massages.") Now, I know what empathy is like. I'm an INFP. But when I'm in intense pain, at the very moment, all my focus would be on me. Fibromyalgia is more painful than childbirth. And she was caring for other people who have the same condition. This made me think maybe she's a Fe user. (She wasn't acting. I know when something is fake. She wasn't.)

She's at her grandmother's apartment. She asks if she can have a peach. My selfish Fi wouldn't ask such a question. She's my grandma. Of course she doesn't mind. bites

This might offend some of you, but I'm just being honest. I don't sense a strong sense of identity in her. She has a vision, but no sense of self. If I were to metaphorize, she's a river. She knows where she's heading, but she's rootless. She's influenced by everything and everyone she encounters, just like a river is influenced by animals, plants, rain, the sun, wind, etc.

I often metaphorize Fi-doms as trees. e.g. Lana Del Rey is a shrub that trims itself. Bjork is an evergreen with a peculiar scent. Gaga didn't strike me as a "tree".

Why the I, though? Most performers are E and I'd say she's no different. She's incredibly extroverted. I get where you could say her feelings stay locked up a bit, but she still lays them bare in music and releases it to the world and talks about them endlessly. I'm just having a hard time with that one, but I guess it could go either way (it also depends if you believe in hard introversion or extroversion which I do not). I'm between INFJ and ENFJ (lean more I than E) and I don't think I'm very much like Gaga in most respects. That, or like you said, I have a terrible sense of self

of course no test can define someone entirely. but every single person has traits; morals, ways of expressing themselves, etc that someone can relate to. thats what this test is about.

as an INFP I have the same problem. sometimes I feel too overwhelmed by people and need to isolate myself a little just to take a breath. but dont worry because its never personal.

i don't think she's extroverted. people often thinks that just because she's a performer she's extroverted, which in most of the cases is not true. for example : britney is also introverted and even has social anxiety (thats why she looks so lost sometimes during interviews) but still performs almost every night. when you get on stage, its like wearing a costume.

False Dichotomy.  Nobody fits perfectly into the personality types, people might lean one way or the other but these arn't dogmatic categories and people arn't that easily put in to buckets.

i agree. but people tend to lean more on a certain way, even if slightly.

I actually think she’s an ENTP. She doesn’t seem to live in now at all, she’s always planning something for the future.

I've just now learned about these classifications so I need to read into it but I also think she's more extrovert than introvert. She doesn't like to be alone. She knows its healthy for her to truly have alone time, but she has to work on that, its not something that seems to come naturally. Whether it's her lover, her family, her team/staff, her friends her dogs even her fans, she needs to be around people. The exchange of energy is what inspires her and comforts her I feel. She gives intense hugs, looks people in the eye, even complete strangers. And I always feel she wants to raise everyone around her up and be in the light too.

Exactly. I mean, just look at the way she opens up in interviews like Howard Stern and Inside the Outside or even 5F2. She really is quite comfortable with cameras and people transactions and such. She's filmed how many documentaries at this point??

I think her whole career is smart business choices over passion. If ARTPOP was a big success, I doubt she’d do C2C, Joanne, AHS and maybe even A Star Is Born. But she saved her career step by step by making logical choices. Of course her music is all about feelings, but none of her big decisions are. She’s a smart businesswoman.
