In The Zone was kind of ahead of its time in a way. A lot of the songs are similar to urban crossover hits that we have nowadays (Hookup, Showdown, Outrageous), and it set a standard for pop stars even though Britney was banned on radio (Toxic being considered a classic).

ARTPOP was a little behind its time no? EDM was already on its way out imo.

my vote: MELODRAMA/ SWEETENER

Why do you all think that ARTPOP was ahead of its time ? Only real explanations with arguments please :huntyga:

It was both ahead of and behind on the times. Some EDM bits were behind for that time, but then a lot of its aggressive pop edm-ness was indicative of PC music's rise.

I think BTW was tbh in a lot of ways its hybrid elements were very indicative of what came with popular music a few years after.
