At this point we don't have to worry about Stan wars. LG is in another level of her career and if she gets that Oscar nomination it's game over for the haters.

That game will never be over, you just have to go on twitter to see Madonna obessed fans saying she used Payola for the great reviews... They'll probably say that she has paid for the Oscars.

The game will never be over as those pressed fans are still living in 2011 knowing their star can't be in the game anymore. I respect and love Madonna a lot but apart her WW tour, she can't push new projects and get praises for those anymore.

The thing that makes me scream: it's when she says to go to Vegas to see her, to people who got their shows chancelled twice (Swiss fans for example in 20mins interview)

I can understand why you feel this way. There was a time when I looked at her decisions as either a mistake or as a success. Then I realized that she wants to be happy just as much as anyone else does. She deserves to make her own choices whether they be failures or successes. They are her choices to make and I respect that.

I’m just happy that as of right now that still includes her making new music.

Don’t worry, she’ll prove people wrong like she always does and then when she goes back on tour everyone’s gonna be craving some Gaga

Mirages

I think she chose it because this way she can shoot more movies so it can be beneficial for her acting career :trollga:

In the interview with Vogue she said that she's doesn't believe performing in a residency is something only ex-acts do.

When did she say this? I can't find it

It's from the interview in the October issue, the one's cover she's on. You were probably looking at the 73 questions video.

https://www.vogue.com/article/lady-gaga-vogue-cover-october-2018-issue

Speaking of shows, she recently signed a $100 million contract with MGM Resorts International to do a Las Vegas residency at a 5,300-seat theater. It will be called Lady Gaga Enigma, and beginning on December 28 she will perform 74 shows spread out over two years—a reasonable pace that will allow her to take better care of herself and make more movies. “I’ve always hated the stigma around Las Vegas—that it’s where you go when you’re on the last leg of your career,” she says. “Being a Las Vegas girl is an absolute dream for me. It’s really what I’ve always wanted to do.”

This puts things in perspective for me, maybe I'm just feeling bad that I used the residency card against Britney stans. :rip:

Stan’s invented the “residencies are for flops” mentality purely to attack other Stan’s.  This is why you shouldnt play those silly games because, Karma.

STOP LOOKING AT GAGA'S CAREER FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE GOD FORSAKEN GEE PEE

She is a human with her own desires and visions for how she wants to spend her life! Not a GP pleasing publicity machine!

"mainly doing it for health reasons" why do we sit here and pretend that we know everything about gaga's condition and capabilities? we certainly do not know, and we do not know that the decision to do a vegas residency has anything to do with her condition. stop pretending.

Make it stupid!

I think her aim is to change the stigma around it. It's also a rather small run of 27 shows. It's not like she's going to be chained their. Adele has been in talks to do one and Bruno Mars has done a a small stint their. I think Beyonce did one 10 years into her career as well. Gaga will be fine.

she signed to do 70+ shows. More are to be scheduled.

Make it stupid!

Wait, people do realize Gaga has a **** ton of money and can retire whenever she wanted to. She doesn’t have to keep doing what she does. Bruno Mars did a residency too and I still hear him on the radio daily. 100M is a lot to turn down especially if it coincides with keeping her healthy. I doubt Gaga cares about what people think about her career at this point. Britney and Gaga are very different artists, just being you perform no Vegas’s doesnt mean you’re career ends. Gaga is pretty much on the top of her game with ASIB, and there’s is still so much to look forward to.

Whenever you buy tickets to see a live performer, you take the risk that it will be cancelled. It sucks, but it’s not deterring me from going. I’ll just make sure to have a plan B in place as I have never been to Vegas before.

Well if she wants to end the stigma about doing a residency when your career is over/in decline I hope she's planning to release an album full of hits to prove everyone wrong.
