ANY manager? I wouldn't say so :selena: Gaga had the charisma and uniqueness, but so do/did many other singer yet they were unlucky with their management.

Well, who are the other artist Troy have helped to reach the level of Gaga had in 2007-2011? At best Troy knew how to help her to reach the top, and absolutely didn't knew how help her to stay there. At best.

No, I view him more as the ‘hype man’ than her “manager”. You realize by this fall Bobbys gonna mark his fifth year as ‘Gagas manager’, which is the same amount of period Troy managed Gaga. Describing Troy era as ‘Gaga's golden age’ (2008-2013), and Bobby’s as ‘Gaga’s downfall’ (2013-2018) would be an understatement.

but gaga's downfall was 2011 - 2014 and her rise was 2014 - 2018+ :rip:

i mean there's plenty of other stars who aren't managed by troy  they would have gotten gaga famous too and probably would have been better at keeping her famous unlike troy lol

I feel like Bobby doesn’t push Gaga enough and doesn’t challenge her ideas at all. I get its her career and all but, some decisions just aren’t good and he should let her know that. Perfect illusion was on no planet a good lead single, Vegas isn’t a good choice either.

To be fair people said that Cheek 2 Cheek would hurt Gaga's career, a lot of people said the same about Joanne and as well about ASIB. And Gaga proved the doubters wrong all the time with these projects.

Gaga is very aware about the stigma with Vegas being the last stop before falling into irrelevance and she hates it. Tbh I think she wants to prove people wrong again with this. The way how the dates are spreaded indicates that she isn't chained to Vegas at all and she will have other projects going on next to the residency. Her next Studio album will probably get released during the residency and she will go on worldwide tour after the residency.

At this point I don't really get why this is still such a discussion.. We are talking about one of the toughest businesses existing. People are literally dying to achieve only a small piece of success that Gaga managed to achieve and still, after more than ten years, she's one of the most relevant acts at least in Pop music on a global scale. Obviously Gaga is not the only one responsible for her progress but neither was/is only her manager considering how many are involved, outside of the Haus and how much time and money is invested to bring her presence down. 2012/2013 was a severely difficult time for Gaga, but at the end, it had the biggest long-term effects (not just positive ones ofc), leading her to work with Tony, rebuilding her image, investing time into tributes and performances to convince people within the business what a massive talent she has and later on pursue her public appearance with the help of more people believing in her.

Now she's about to be everywhere with ASIB. Stans are missing her level of 2010's appreciation to GP but in a few months if everything works out in her favor this will be a much bigger and intense outcome. It's all about surprising people, and those who are still associating her with the meat dress, will definitely be very surprised. It could even become that tipping point where people are not inhibited anymore when it comes to her. Just like MJ or Beyoncé but Gaga & Bobby have done such detail work to rebuild her image to certain demographics, that now it could lead to a chain-reaction after the even more unaware/more commercialized part of GP is noticing the range of her abilities. Then she is a hot topic again but this time people cannot reduce her on her outfits, they will be surprised by her personality and this is something what really affects people and is the reason why so many stick with her.

And still she is criticized for not having the right people around her without whom it clearly would not has been the same.

Troy is miles better than Bobby (as a manager); Gaga went from nothing to an A+ list star thanks to him, or else she would’ve been another Grimes or F&TM at best.

This whole paragraph is pure bullshit, Gaga was clearly happy with Troy or else she wouldn’t be be sad he left her, which indicate that she still wanted him to stick around.

And Gaga’s current successe has to do with her talent than Bobby. The super bowl called her to play cuz she was good with the national anthem the previous year, Gaga herself called Ryan Murphy to play in AHS, and she’s doing ASIB cuz Bradly saw her perform somewhere and knew she’d be the right one; bobby had little to do in all of these.

I do agree that people here tend to overlook how much of her success is actually driven by her. Gaga being selected for gigs because of her talent, and setting her own acting career into motion is kind of ignored. That said, I think having a good manager is like having a team having a good coach. I think Bobby encourages her as an artist and a person, for example, you can see his influence in 5'2 when he's talking her down from having a big ass meltdown on the AHS set. He also brought up the whole idea of doing a doc to her, and got Chris Moukarbel on the project, which then boosted sales of Joanne a year after the album was released, and that's just what we know of. So it's not as if he's does nothing. You can be incredibly talented, but if you're not encouraged or managed well you won't be as successful as you could be (the very talented and iconic Mariah being managed by that Stella woman comes to mind).

SMILE2NE1

Sound of Music Oscars
National Anthem SB
SB headliner
American Horror Story
ASIB

All seem like a well thought out long term plan to me which Gaga and Bobby collaborated on. Troy was good at the first part of her career but it only takes looking at the BTW/ARTPOP situation to know that toward the end he was unable to handle a star of her talent at the stage of her commercial life cycle

All troy is good at is managing stars that become irrelevant in a couple years. He did it with MEGHAN TRAINOR.

Gaga was saved from this because of how high she peaked as it would let people accept her later on and they are now :rip:

Just because Gaga was big at the time doesn't mean Troy was an excellent manager :wtfga: Paparazzi was never given the time to shine, Judas was killed by controversy, Applause was pinned against Roar and not to mention something always leaked too early. So please remove your rose-colored glasses and see the light.. Bobby is better.

some of you just want to brag about gaga being #1 so ok lets get her back to troy, lets have somebody who doesn't care about her needs and her limits manage her. lets have her break her hip again or hopefully something even worse will happen :excited2:if only she was as overexposed as she was during the btw era, which lead into the decline of gaga's career.. UGH lets see her just like how we saw her during the pre ARTPOP era where a persona was forced onto her, and she was completely different and out of place :diane: oh i miss troy as a manager

i hope troy will never come back in gaga's life. he almost ruined her, and if you care about gaga as a HUMAN you shouldn't want him back either. some of u think bobby suddenly appeared in gaga's life during 2013 but he was there since day one! just because his work is more subtle doesnt mean he is not there. gaga's return to fame has been slow but lemme tell you that most of my friends started talking about her again. bobby is patiently rebuilding the gaga image, which image had been shattered in million pieces thanks to you adorable troy.
