Gaga should address working with R.Kelly & Terry

Now before y’all think I’m trying to ruin the party during this AMAZING time in Gaga’s life - please know that I’m not. I just want a healthy discussion about something that has bothered me for years.

what made me want to create this post was reading all these comments I see on other blogs. These comments are coming from (NON-Madonna) people who are very involved on the internet and with celebrity news/gossip. On these sites, it’s like no one can celebrate Gaga or talk good about her because she “supports sexual predators.” She’s dragged for filth and I know that this opinion is not very “public” and most of the GP don’t know or care but social media is a huge part of pop culture now so what these people think and spread online can be important to one’s career.

I know gaga doesn’t owe a statement to anyone but I think it has the potential to really gain back the respect from so many people, women especially, online who have boycotted her music and anything she does because of working with R. kelly & Terry Richardson. I know it’s been years since she’s worked with these men and she’s even released a song about being a victim herself since working with them. BUT as long as she keeps quiet, these people will not change their opinion on her. I think she should care a little bit more about what people think when it comes to this subject, being a victim herself. 

Brushing it under the rug and releasing a song to support victims of sexual abuse may have been her way of apologizing for it but the clips of the disgusting DWUW video will forever be available. It was an insensitive video and the fact that it featured a pedo and was directed by another pedo is just honesty so f’d up and going to be hard for her to come back from in the eyes of these online feminists. 

I just get defensive of the good sis and I want everyone to be on ha side and support her during this amazing career surge she’s about to hit. 

I just think it’d be in her best interest to address the situation sometime soon. Let everyone know that she has stopped dealing with these people and has learned from her mistakes. Thoughts 🤷🏽‍♀️

people who comment on celebrity gossip/news sites hate everyone and there is SOMETHING wrong with everyone. doesnt matter what they do, if there has been SOME rumor or blind item or whatever they'll forever be shamed and insulted and bla bla

I don't think she should. If people want to constantly bring up the fact that she's worked with R.Kelly and Terry Richardson, then they need to bring up the fact that she's written an Oscar-nominated song about sexual assault; has spread awareness about sexual assault and mental health issues; has openly talked about her depression, anxiety, and fears; etc., etc. 

Now I'm not defending the fact that she worked with them. I'm honestly completely neutral when it comes to that; however, Gaga has done so much to bring awareness and spread love and positivity that it just looks very hypocritical and nitpicky to want her to talk about the "bad" stuff she's done without recognizing all the great things she's done.

When i saw she was working with R Kelly and then heard about the controversy with Richardson, I honestly took a step back from her music for a while. Then the fact that they were both going to be in her music video where people are partying on top of her unconscious body.. It freaked me out a bit, as it should for any respectable human. I mean, coincidence? I don't know. Whatever..

TG that video was never released, and she hasn't worked with them since.

However, I don't think she should make any statement about it now, and I believe she's more than made up for it since. She should just keep doing what she's doing, and move forward from that awful period in her career.

You said it yourself, Regular folk ain't talking about nor do they care. Most of those few comments you see on blogs are just other fanbases using the one last bit of ammo they have. But it isn't working. Gaga is winning so much right now that these kinds of things don't matter. Literally the only thing that can stop this train is if Bradley Cooper himself got accused of sexual harassment. There's nothing else that will stop this train. Lets all enjoy this ride.

Well true. I guess we should just be happy that more people don’t know it about it  and a public apology would bring more attention to something that doesn’t have much to begin with

You shouldn't worry about that, haters will find the smallest thing they could use to diss her, take it out of context and then inflate it, and they won't ever acknowledge the amazing thing she's done over the years.

Any sane people would understand that she doesn't support sexual predators in any way and recognize her activism on sexual harrassment and bullying victims. Those cases will never define who she truly is
