And this bop proves it:firega:

That's more house music than EDM.

But more to the OP's question:

No. It was so watered down and sanitized and forgettable because you had half-rate producers making forgettable beats since EDM was not their forte. I only want it coming back if people actually dedicate themselves to the sound and trying to innovate rather than just riding a train. It made Joanne a very welcome album imo lol Even some of ARTPOP is just eh to me, but other parts are very very interesting in terms of production (like DWUW, MJH, Aura, and Applause). I'm very very on board for techno coming in instead. Vince Staples did Detroit Techno some real justice and Gaga has shown in the past that she gets it as well.

Either EDM coming back or PC music becoming mainstream

I'm tired of this urban **** or those chill Chainsmokers songs.

I want some bangerz, not stuff to fall asleep to :neyde:

Dance music in general with maybe some electronic sounds that haven't been heard before, but no dubstep or any stupid bass drops that have been done a thousand times 😳

Even Gaga's attempt to use it gave us the flop ARTPOP. No rather have Bad Romamces and Born This Ways than having this messy genre. Dance Pop > EDM Pop

Dubstep in popmusic was one of the worst things that happened in the music industry. It was so forced and not fitting. Thank god that sis is over and there isn't even dubstep music anymore these days.

EDM never left tho. :vegas:

you must not have listened to rated R, which has dubstep the way it’s intended

Dubstep can stay away but EDM is still really present in pop music as a whole but I wouldn't mind the early 2010s sound of EDM back specifically. That was the best time for pop.

House music is EDM though. It's a sub genre of EDM.

Is it EDM? I thought it classified under electronic music but that EDM was a sub genre of electronic music.
