Like I said before, her career is gonna be sort of like Cher’s in a way, a lot of people laughing at the thought of acting at first, then REALLY loving her acting skills, then to the point where she’s not known ONLY for the music industry. Yes we can expect less and less albums to be made. But in the mean time we’ll be seeing her open up her audience and broaden out her crowd, which is what us Monsters wanted from the very beginning, right? :trollga:

I don’t know, I just can’t wait until we get a future song that she makes that set’s the standard for pop music again after 30 years with her own “Believe.” Imagine what it’d be like to have another “Bad Romance” bop, and the way it impacted pop music so much, to the point where EVERYONE knows it, whether they like it or not, and sets a decent standard in music quality other than using the exact same instrumental and sound effects/samples OVER AND OVER AND F**KING OVER AGAIN- Hmm! yes, you are right :ladyhaha:

This movie can only do justice to Gaga’s career, eve Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 80% rating... which is REAALLLY rare coming from them :lmao:

Agreed with everything you said, but doesn't she have a 92% on RT right now?

to be honest, not at all.

i remember when she came out with the fame everyone thought she had her ultimate masterplan and her carreer planned out from the beginning to the end. she came and told everyone she would be the biggest popstar on the planet and everyone would know her name and thats exactly what happened.

then she came around with btw and it totally was what she predicted. the cultural impact was real and her superstardom and philantrophy as an gay icon was set in stone. and even more cemented superstardoom.

then with ARTPOP it felt like she struggled a bit and as if her plan ended here and what to do next. her impact in going to be the art-scene-star wasnt that huge as expected and it was a bit weird.

but with c2c she made clear she was back on track and got her big barcelona moment like freddie mercury had what made him bigger than a popstar. (did u ever draw this comparesson?) it think this was on her very first masterplan as well but not that planned out in details. but for sure she wanted to go outside of pop.

the next step was reinventing herself and going in another musical direction and suprise people with joanne.

now her big hollywood stunt, like every big singer has in their carrer, at least as a try but she did it very good and very very smart.

same as she eveloped her vocals all the time and slowly but surely became more and more the muscial wonderwoman.

i hope and think her next step is history repeat itself. waiting until the music industry is at a point like in 2007 when the charts were hip hop and indie dominated and pure pop and dance was most likely death to mainstream and to come back at that point with a sound that changes the landscape again.

i can see this happening if she really goes for an 90ies pop sound that sets new standards. lets hope so!

just three more examples what i really want/expect her to be on her masterplan:

a double A artist duett. (tell him, i´m your angel, when you belive, lady marmelade, could i have this kiss forever, nobody wants to be lonely, scream, me against the music)
i really want her to have this with adele. i think musically this could be the perfect time for both.

the other one is her we are the world - a big big charity song with lots of artists. her bono moment for charity.

her james bond theme song at one moment. hope this wil happen at one point and it will be genious.

her musical/broadway era.

her beauty and fashion imperium.

her unexpected reinvention.

her christmas album with a original christmas classic like all i want for christmas is you.

When was the last time she was in something? Is she OK? :triggered:

She took the year off to focus on going around the country to register young people to vote in the midterms.

That's it. But weird enough, at least in Europe, not many people are aware that Cher is an actress, moreover that she won an Oscar for Moonstruck... And there's always apriorism and misjudgment towards multi-talented / multi-faceted artists. Kind of : "You can't be good in more than a single line of business or creativity" or "Thou shalt not reach stardom in multiple fields". Otoh, it's quite impossible to lay enough effort to make it big everywhere. And there's always a risk to lose or spread yourself too thin...

From the TIFF - ASIB Press Conference. Gaga said :

«I'm not interested to act more because I'm looking for career moves or what's gonna be to blast me off to... outer space ! [...] For me it's all about the project. All about the process. All about the work.»

'Nuff said !

I see what you're saying, but I don't think she has this "master plan" laid out. As @Cavadour quoted today from her TIFF conference, Gaga's much more interested in the work itself and not necessarily what it does for her career. Sure, from a business standpoint, and I'm sure from a management standpoint, they care more about the trajectory of her career; however, Gaga herself does not. She's far more interested in artistic expression—no matter what form that takes. Sure, she might have her own "Broadway" era, or her "Beauty/Fashion Imperium," but that wouldn't be because she's developed this "master plan," but because she would want to do those things at those times.

This year she played a russian spy or something in a movie. (Don't remember the name of the movie).

Red Sparrow. She's taking a year-long break from movies, I believe, actually. I was the biggest Hunger Games fan, so I'm a decent fan of hers.
