YASSSSSS!!!!!!!!! You spoiled it to me but oh well cares? I love that ship. :kara: I'm so glad they kissed. :kara:

So starry eyed on the flowery hillside, breathless and fervid amid the dandelions.

Sorry but this trend is starting to annoy me. Why can't gay characters in kids shows be confirmed as gay when shows are actually running?

Sapphire and Ruby did it first. Also, they actually got married #StevenUniverseMasterRace :lolga:

To be fair (even though I don't like it), this is probably the boldest that these creators are generally allowed. Same happened to Legend of Korra.

Hopefully this is a sign for better representation in the future. We can already see it in Steven Universe, which started airing after AT.

3 points in and ready for more

First off, kids rarely care about romance. They're looking for the major arc to be over. Not looking at all the little plotholes. This is for the older peeps who have stuck with the show this damn long.

Secondly, they are multiple gay characters in Adventure Time, most of them minor.

Thirdly, this is actually the best decision to be made. Ending with a kiss is the best way to go out. Those who have been fantasizing about this ship (trust me, bubbline is not anything new) are now happy. They won't have the relationship slump. Their romance will never be boring. This is a smart storytelling decision.

Plus the best way to end something, is to start with a new beginning.

If they are minor then they don't factor into the conversation much, and the fact that kids don't care about romance doesn't change the fact that it's always been apart of media geared towards them, and that lgbt romances are a fact of life yet left out of children's media for very homophobic reasons. This is a mere baby step.

I wouldn't technically call this a baby step really.

Most of the people who watch Adventure Time from beginning to end have to be in their early teens, at least, and late twenties at most.

I understand that there needs to be more LGBT representation in kids shows, but when it's done for kids shows, it should be done for kids.

This was to appeal to the fandom, nothing more. Quell and ease and excite it.

Exactly the opposite of what Voltrons writers did.
