They both has mutual respect for each other, they had both praised each other - but when Sam beat her at The Oscars this fanbase turned on him. I just hope this time around this fanbase recognises Glenn is a brilliant actor who is at the top of her field and that the role she has played in The Wife is complex and made for an Oscar. She deserves an Oscar no matter how many people in this fanbase would love to see Gaga win.

I think the difference between then and now was that Gaga was strongly predicted to win (like 95% predicted she would win), plus the way they presented the award right after her gut wrenching perfomance made it feel like she was robbed and that Sam Smith wasn’t deserving (not that it justifies the treatment he got). Whereas this time, I hope that monsters will be able to appreciate that Glenn is just as, or more deserving of the award than Gaga.
