I don't think it will debut at #1 but it doesn't worry me much. This is not a regular album and its goal is another one, have longevity until the oscars. Also, if is well received it could be #1 another week, just check TGSM long run

If Cheek2Cheek debuted at #1, this will too.  It's better music, more popular genre and she's more widely accepted than ever.  She's got this.

I think it has a good chance because of the hype surrounding the film when it comes out. I'm not sure if Twenty One Pilots will debut at number 1 because the hype for the album isn't very high and they have yet to have a proper hit come from this album, however if they have merch and tour bundles, their sales will end up much higher.

C2C debuted #1 in 2014, the rules have changed since then.

Us fans better stream the album, even if were aren't doing anything.

1. In class/work, put the volume on low and leave the album playing.

2. When sleeping, charge the phone and leave the album playing over night

(The Soundtrack debuting at #1 is more important than electric bills honey :huntyga:)

3. Only listen to the Soundtrack during the week, IDC if you hate it, just stream it.

4. Buy it.

Some points were made!!!

But yes, I do think it can debut high. I really am hoping for a #1 in billboard and a #1 in the box office, little monsters we can do this. The only competition from the movie perspecive will be Venom :/

Jennifer Lopez was the first entertainer to have her album (J.Lo) and movie (The Wedding Planner) debut at number one in the same week

I doubt it. Top 5 for sure, but you have to remember soundtracks often don’t debut high (TGS for example), but have a steady climb.

I can see something happening such as debuting top 5 (around #3-5) and then maintaining a fairly steady spot for a week or two and maybe climbing (to #1 / simply higher) or continuing to stay stable if it resonates well + maybe snags a hit single? We will just have to see what happens. I could be very wrong, but I’m not going to let my expectations get too high :interestinga:

The most important thing to remember is longevity is the key. Seeing as this is a soundtrack, that shouldn’t be hard to achieve if it resonates well.

No if releasing against TØP

Theyre fan base is just as rabid as ours :air:

But it’s a soundtrack so longevity and potential climb to 1 is on the cards

It will! Guys the music is good, it’s excellent.

ASIB is predicted to open with more than 40m in North America! THAT’S HUGE and let me tell you a secret: we are not responsible for that. We’re a large fanbase but not to draw a number like that.

People will buy the soundtrack after the release or stream it. That #1 is ours.

another shot before we kiss the other side

About the sales for the album since I can't post in the charts discussion thread yet, if I buy multiple copies of it, would it affect the overall sales if they are bought all at once or separate transactions?
