Kinda unrelated but I remember people saying Joanne the piano version would be a radio smash and be Gaga's 4th #1:ladyhaha:

If Gaga wasn't screaming or projecting her voice too much on it, I'd agree, but it's kinda more of a rock indie sounding song I think. And personally I feel that if A-Yo only peaked at #66, Diamond Heart would've barely touched the top 90 as a single

A-YO had no video and almost no promotion, even its show on Victoria’s Secret being cut in half to let in John Wayne

I think they were just saying it has nothing different than Someone Like You...

Let's just say I think A-Yo would've graced adult contemporary radio.. but not pop radio because it just didn't have that top 40 sound

bloody g

It doesn't sound radio friendly but I'd still go with it since it's a perfect taste of what the movie is about.

Bops like heal me and why you did that (or however it's called) could do great too but Idk if it's a good idea.

I heard it play on a pop radio here in turkey when joanne came out so that’s something, it has international value despite being kinda american rock

yeah I mean but radios will always play new music for a few days just because of how big the artist releasing it may be. i just don't think anything off joanne was tailored for radio personally.. any song would just stick out amongst the other pop/urban songs. Even PI I feel was more rock and louder than anything else despite being "pop"

all these songs were written from ally's perspective, and ally is just a character that gaga made for a movie (this form of art is called acting :ohwell: ). i really don't understand why everyone expect these songs to go on radio or have some huge promo, if gaga was playing gaga in the movie - then it would make sense promoting them as LADY GAGA's songs :classy:

p.s. i think it would be much less complicated if they credited her as stefani :vegas:
