grenziel 538
A Star is Born trailer two might not happen Before ya'll crucify me, hear me out. I just read an article by Yahoo! that discusses how Warner Bros. shattered box-office estimates for The Meg with an impressive ad-campaign. A particular part of the article that caught my attention says: "Warner Bros. didn’t release a second trailer for Meg which is standard Hollywood marketing procedure. Even though they cut a second one and it tested well, an analysis showed that a second trailer would only reach 10%-15% of the intended audience. Warners figured it was better to redirect the fun of the first trailer in order to reach a 50% threshold in getting their bang for the buck." One of the issues of moviegoers is that - trailers give too much information about the plot of the film. In A Star Is Born's case, the trailer alone generated a massive positive feedback from almost anyone who saw it. Adding to it, this is the fourth remake of the film which by any sense follow the same structure of it's predecessors. I'm all for seeing and hearing new scenes from the film but would do more harm than good then, I'll enjoy whatever I have for until October. Some of them want to abuse you, some of them want be abused.
Mr S 8,672
I don't care anymore. We really just have to wait one month to see the movie anyway. A few more IG pics, some festival appearances, the TIFF press conference, some reviews is enough to keep me busy. Just like that it will be october. ALTHOUGH, I would be perfectly fine with it so long as we get one song in full & soundtrack pre-order prior to the film release. 😁

MEM 3,114
I think it’s pretty much confirmed that we are getting one though? After all, the first upload says “Official Trailer #1” and there have been multiple distribution accounts reply to fans saying “just wait, it’s coming soon”. Also, the trailer hasn’t played at all in Australia (where I am) because I think they’re waiting for the final cut with the additional scenes and correct date! If the current trailer was the only one, they would’ve at least aired it already with “Coming Soon” but we have nothing. My local cinemas tell me it’s because it’s not the final trailer and because Warner Bros Australia changed the date from Oct 4 to Oct 18 so there’s been issues with the re-editing of the international version. I suppose we’ll have to wait until September and see what happens!
RadioIsOurs 13,876
But it's not even like the first trailer got a lot of views??

ryanripley 86,575
so because one movie only got one trailer, it's now likely ASIB will only get one? https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ
Hauser 1,262
This makes a lot of sense and I agree that they should do promo in other ways instead of another trailer that will reveal more plot points to an already known story.
RAMROD 109,309
It's only two months away anyway, and August is almost over too (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘢, 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
REALITY 76,277
I mean, just because this happened to The Meg doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to happen to ASIB. It's most likely going to receive another trailer. It's obvious that WB wants to push this film as an Awards contender, and to do so, they need to get the word out about this movie as quickly as possible with as much positive feedback as possible. Yeah, the first trailer did well, but let's be honest, aside from Little Monsters and movie critics, no one else is really talking about this movie. The Bohemian Rhapsody trailer got more views than ASIB. If they want this to be an Oscar success—which I'm sure they do—they'll need to promote the hell out of this movie, and another trailer would do just that. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
ThisGuyTony 30,291
There'll probably be shortened tv trailers too. But idk if they only use the previous trailer footage or try to include new footage.

This is a great point however keep in mind that A Star is Born's trailer was re-uploaded by multiple Youtube accounts. Should we follow the same logic, the trailer generated massive difference vs. Bohemian trailer. Some of them want to abuse you, some of them want be abused. Memento 881
The reviews are going to hype the movie enough until its release anyway. I'm more than ok with that and I think it's a good choice Talk **** on me again ill sandwich your fuggin face
Arturo 40,746
I mean if you’re really looking for certain scenes in a movie (like for movies based on books of in this case a remake) then you’ll know whats happening in each scene. The GP doesnt do that though. Like I could look at ASIB trailer and point out what scenes are the equivalent of scenes in the 1976 version and therefore already know what is happening. But no regular person is going to do that.
