Sid 6,755 Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 The rumor mill has been nonstop lately, and I get it because Gaga has been posting some incredible instagram photos with no description or explanation of why she's posting so many I just want to remind everyone how we spent COUNTLESS threads expecting a legendary LG5 debut at the 2016 Grammys that would 'remind the world of the seed of innovation' ....... ... and we were given David Bowie and light-up rings It's good to be excited, but don't set your expectations too high ladies. Yeah, it might not have been the next innovative thing in technology, but it was still a great performance. Other than the fact that she was teasing the performance, these two things have nothing to do with each other. Maybe the death of her idol and the death of Joanne, made her change her mind and thats why she ended up creating "Joanne" the album. Mr S 8,775 Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 I didn't follow LG that closely that time so I was able to see the performance from a neutral perspective like most of the GP. Ie without all the hype and expectations. It was a great performance. Great vocals, she rocked the piano, colorul, lights, showmanship. My only issue is i wish she spent more time per song and also she looked too drag queen. But overall it's one of the oerfomances I go back to every now and then. That means the original Grammy performance literally could have been anything (although my guess was that it was a TIHTY performance, but maybe even "LG5"). I think Bowie's sudden death really changed things for Gaga, and the Grammys. Yeah, a lot of people thought she would perform one of the songs she had been working on with RedOne. I'm not sure they got as far on the album as some of the "original LG5" theories suggest, but I bet she probably had a lead single ready for the Grammys and ended up throwing the Bowie tribute in last minute. This promo video was insane and it was almost as she was going to fly through the universe as a hologram while performing on the moon with aliens. And looked what we eventually got.
