I was an addict and you know what you’re doing 100% of the time. I knew what was right and wrong, like I said if you read my comment, she’s probably not finding the right way to deal with whatever problem she’s going through or if this was just to have a fun time which is the reason a lot of addicts do it for.

Ok you don’t even know if he is an addict himself, plus he is not the one that contacted Demi. You don’t know the reason why Demi did it. Like I said it could’ve been to cope with a problem or just have fun. Either way the dealer is not going to be there to care about your problems buddy, you contact them, they answer. Simple.

we live in a society, if you see that someone is in trouble you MUST help that person or you'll ONE of the reason why that person is suffering. I know some people don't want to deal with someone's problems but like I said, we live in a society.

it was demi's fault that she overdosed, but their friends knew she was an addict so it was their fault too and the drug dealer knows that drugs are bad and he keeps selling it to people, it was his fault too.

if you don't want to contribute to our society then go live on an island by yourself

Honey!! Drugdealers👏dont👏care👏if👏YOU👏are👏an👏addict👏

Just like liquor stores don’t care if you’re an alcoholic, just like cigarettes companies don’t care if you get cancer. You buy you made that decision... what is it that you’re not understanding?

drug dealers don't care about society's problems WE KNOW THAT, that's why they keep selling drugs!! they know drugs are bad and they don't care but they're still part of the problem and that drug dealer was ONE of the reasons why demi overdosed.

But are you saying Its ok for Demi to be buying drugs from people?  To keep feeding her addictive behavior? Is all about double standards. Demi is not a little girl anymore. I’m done You get my point don’t go around the bush because you’re making no sense.

“it’s more complicated and complex than solely blaming Demi or the dealer.“

When did I say it was ok for Demi? It almost killed her and we need to help her and not blame her doing something unhealthy / deadly to herself.

she needs to get the help she needs and the dealer needs to be held accountable too :koons:

its funny that you only replied to that sentence, you clearly just want to start drama.

I was trying to have a serious conversation and btw, you've been talking about empathy and how we must help each other in this forum and yet, I see that you have no sympathy for addicts.

I'll answer your questions, no I don't think drug addicts should live on an island, I think we should help them get better. My boyfriend's dad was a drug-addicted for a long time and now he's better, he's a great father. He just retired from his work and yet he keeps working on other things and he doesn't need to, he's a hard-working man.

see? his family and friends and our society helped my dad's boyfriend and now he's contributing to our society.

Demi is as accountable as the drug dealer. You said it before that’s why I quoted you. My point keeps being the same, the user is not the victim, stop portraying users as victims. I was a user and even though I used depression as an excuse at the end of the day nobody was putting a gun to my head to buy drugs. We’re adults no kids. Making us seem as victims is also enabling. Why do you keep going around the bush once again? Or is it just to stretch this thread?

Ok but is he texting people for drugs now? No

You obviously didn’t read either when I mention that I was an addict and nobody ever tells an addict to text the drug dealer for drugs. You make that choice.

I do have empathy for Demi but we don’t know her story even from what you read on the media. like I said before we don’t know if she did it to cope or fun which must addicts like myself did it for.

You cant count with society because the same society is the one that enables.

yeah the addicted makes the choice to use drugs and the drug dealer also makes a choice....drugs dealers choose to sell drugs when they know they're bad.

users and dealers are part of the problem and also the people around them that know what they're doing without helping them.

What :nooo:

Also your tone is very defensive/aggressive. I’m trying to have a conversation to make us think of the gray area of addiction and not the black and white (right and wrong) way to “blame” people.

Yes because I know what I’m talking about since I know what is like to deal with addiction. There’s no grey area in telling you from an addict point of view. Have you ever been an addict of a hard drug? And I’m not talking about weed

“blame?”

You previously blamed them the dealer and Demi? Now you’re saying there’s no blame. That’s what I meant when I say you’re going around the bush

Oh girl wyd that’s what I’ve been saying since comment one

“users and dealers are part of the problem not just the user”!!!!!  So.... you agree with my point?
