I don’t understand how streaming would be an obstacle? I’m assuming that if you’re able to catch the GP attention again, streaming is just another way of listening to that music, same way buying it was back in the day.

It's completely different. Nowadays you must appeal to youth to get streams, and I don't see that happening. Older artists haven't charted well in the streaming era. Our culture is now youth oriented and more youth obsessed than ever. And streaming is aiding this.

*it's not realistic*
You have to understand that charts are driven by teenagers and kids. Gaga was super cool in 2009, but she lost her mojo. Stop caring about chart success. It's NOT happening. Britney never had a comeback because she was the biggest star in the world in 2007, so it would be obvious that people would be interested in her new material, but Gaga's comeback is not happening. Focus on the quality of music..

I can't accept that. I don't want GAga to be dragged by other fanbases anymore

I don't really care either way but she can. She always shakes things up and is always ahead of the curb. Her lead material are never generic. A chance to smash is attainable if the song is the pioneer for a new era in pop music (think Poker Face in a world of Urban and Hip Hop when the world was starting to prefer electro-dance). Of course there will be misses like Joanne, but she never goes headfirst into a trend. That's why she has a high likelihood to smash.

Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

I'm pretty sure she can if she makes the right choices and cares for commercial success at least one more time like she did with The Fame. It's so easy to do that - heck, she literally even worked with Bloodpop, I'm pretty sure she knows that she needs a hit song again.

If she drops another album like Joanne, that's cool and I'll be here for it, but I hope the fanbase won't ask for a hit ever again.

But that’s exactly what I’m meaning when I say she has to catch the GP’s attention. She finds a way to appeal to the younger, she can win at streaming. It isn’t that much unthinkable.

How would you go about that?

I feel like Gaga's choices are either make a disposable generic hit or collab with multiple mainstream artists

At this point, pretty much. Her spark is completely lost but it can be brought back if she risks herself with something like this.

And for y'all who would "unstan" if she goes mainstream, don't tell me you don't wanna hear Lady Gaga's name on the radios again. :awesome:

I have a feeling LG6 will be epic but this time the gp has to notice so good promoting strategies would help since the hype by the gp for Gaga is over at the moment. Sometimes I think even Christina and Britney have more anticipation by the gp. Joanne hit #1 mostly because of the big fanbase, obviously.. She should also be sure there isn't any s*** with her label, producers, directors and go on. Also, a very good music video for EVERY single this time at the right time could also work. Groundbreaking music videos could help singles a lot, for example Bad Blood, This Is America and Gangnam Style. There's nothing wrong with pushing boundaries in my opinion but yesterday I saw a snippet of the Do What U Want music video and the sexual moves were too much. No wonder they scrapped it, otherwise Gaga's career might be over due to all the hate and criticism she would get at that moment. They would see her even more as an attention ***** obsessed with nudity and sex (not my opinion). Glad she proved them wrong with Joanne:reductive: I don't expect TFM success but she could get 3 top 10 hits and 2 top 20 hits if she sets her cards right

Also, around 5 singles could help too instead of 2 singles and one music video without being a single:awkney:

Xtina and Britney? That's going too far. :air:

Gaga could easily make a One Dance-like hit with a rapper and be on top again. Easy. Can you imagine a rap/Drake featuring Gaga? It could be huge, but I can’t see her as an ARTIST wanting to do that. She’s so different to other artists, it’s why I love her. Her name has been mentioned in songs like Loyal and others over the years. She’s still a subtle presence in the popular music industry, she just needs to tap in to it a little more
