which is totally stupid as a movie last 3/4 weeks in theaters and not entering for Grammy and Oscars submissions for this year..

Clearly you know little about the bussines, dont you? ASIB is predicted to do around 20M opening weekend, a movie that opens with those numbers, lasts quite longer that 3 weeks in theaters.

Wasnt expecting anything seeing as musical movie soundtracks rarely release before the actual movie.

They are also likely avoiding The Greatest Showman for the Grammys.

Yes, but a soundtrack released more than 1 year before the actual voting process of Grammys members is weak and kind of faded imo

Why stepping aside for fear of losing against TGS when they could ride ASIB momentum? Whatever :saladga:

This gives me another reason to believe she's releasing something from LG6 soon. She's not gonna perform a song from the soundtrack if it's not a single, she'll probably do only interviews for the movie promotion.

Yeah, but it's happened before with the Glory from Selma, so not entirely impossible for a grammy win. Glory missed the grammys deadline in 2014, won an oscar in 2015, and still managed to win a grammy in 2016, against TIHTY.

You are right, also with La La Land and TGS itself probably next year. I gained some hope again at least :ohwell:

So much ignorance and wrong assumptions in this thread. :saladga:

This is literally how 98% of soundtracks are rolled out.

I'm screaming at people thinking this will affect Oscar chances when the Oscar deadline is in December. :air:

Have you realised how extremely successful TGS soundtrack has been? If not, Google is your friend.

If true that's unfortunate. This is such a terrible year for the Grammys she'd easily be a contender if she released before the deadline
