bobbby 939 Posted August 15, 2018 Share Posted August 15, 2018 We obviously all have our own delulu ideas/theories about what Gaga's upcoming timeline looks like, curious to hear everyone else's. The new pics threw me off hard but here's what I think now. Friday: Release of a cryptic visual / trailer using the photos we saw today. Sunday: Some kind of physical release for The Fame (we can't just get a quote tweet of a stan account for the 10th anniversary of The Fame can we?). A new studio version of one of TF's singles, an outtake, or Fame-inspired new song. Not a single more of a gift. August 31- October 5: Heavy ASIB press. She's going to have to do a press throughout North America and Europe and Warner Brothers wouldn't want her to be split between promoting her personal projects and the movie. They don't want the movie to be about Lady Gaga and her stans if they're really hoping for award season credibility, they're gonna want those interviews to focus on the movie. We'll also probably get Elle and Vogue during this time, in those magazines she'll probably tease at her new music. October 8: Debut of a lead single at the AMAs, video to follow and a full promotion of it. December 28: Residency start and EP/album release. I'm actually thinking it's going to be an EP rather than an album especially if the residency is taking the place of a tour. The more I think about it, I don't think they'll be a big push behind the ASIB soundtrack. They obviously are pining for an Original Song Oscar, but I don't see them really pushing for radio/mainstream success. I don't see them devoting time/resources towards promoting the soundtrack outside of the film. I think a song will drop a few weeks before the movie and hopefully we'll get a performance on Ellen / morning shows but that's the feeling I'm getting right now. Not that it would just randomly show up in everyone iTunes library, but like, the price of the album would be free for a week. I think it would be good press and I'm not an expert on charting (so someone please correct me if I'm mistaken), but she could hit some streaming charts because so many people would be streaming her stuff.
