Gaga Queen of Classical

I can totally see Gaga composing her own classical album. No vocals, purely her skills with a piano with an orchestra backing her. 100% her own creation.

The idea came after the video surfaced of her conducting an orchestra for an unknown project- possibly ASIB

Imagine the respect she would earn from the classical community much like she did from the jazz community.

Would you be here for it? It’s nothing like her contemporaries are doing. And would really wow the musical community.

I know she's classically trained on the piano, but I'm curious as to how well she'd do in a jazz band, especially an improv band.

I think she's decent on the keys, but it'd be even cooler if she got even better.

I would be here for it, but I don't think it will happen.  I would be here for more jazz, or a metal album, or a blues album.

I live outside the space time continuum.

That’s what I’m saying. She kind of set up the narrative in her career by telling the world she grew up playing classical, but we’ve yet to really see it except for the watch commercial she just did which had me gagging. Can you imagine those visuals she would create for the music and she would be playing it in some Marie  Antoinette  Versailles fashion lol

I think metal is definitely in her future which is why I think this is even more plausible. It’s the COMPLETE opposite and will once again just reinforce that she can do anything. People would be beside themselves. It would make her a legend (not to say she’s not already on that path)

A Hybrid

I don’t want to doubt her, but if I had to choose right now whether she could or not, I’d say not.

We’ve seen her play Mozart and talk about playing Bach. Those are baroque-classical eras. If she composes classical music right now, it will have to be modern to be taken seriously. So something like Debussy at least.

Classical is by far the hardest of all genres to compose and play, and modern is its most complex branch. Don’t forget that Gaga’s songs are all very structured— she hasn’t even written Jazz.

So yeah, if she can nail that she’ll actually prove herself to be a musical super genius. But I wouldn’t bet on it.

I'd love it, but I don't think she has the musical know-how to do that. I know she was trained classically in piano technique and playing, but that doesn't mean she knows classical music theory and compositional techniques.

I think she'd be great with jazz! Look at how she's rearranged her songs to fit a ragtime jazz flair in the past? After all, jazz *is* pop music so it's well within her wheelhouse.

Schizophonic

imagine all the meltdowns when she is in the studio for two years and ends up with an album without a single vocal on it. i cant. not even one word. haha.

she could do a full techno without vocal too.

I do think this would be something she would need to work towards later on in her career. It would take a lot of practice and she would prolly need to study under someone. I think it would be incredible if she would work with someone like Danny Elfman. She would learn so much. He was a musician/Singer for Oingo Boingo before he became a huge name in film orchestration. He does all of the tim Burton movies.

Super random, but what if Gaga ends up going the Hans Zimmer/Danny Elfman route later on in her career. I'd be so mesmerized.
