Also instead of arguing with me go argue with Gaga, because she’s said it herself. Go listen to all of Kesha’s early music, that is auto tune. It makes you sound robotic & like the quote in the pic says it takes away your vibrato. Throughout all of Born This Way you can hear her vibrato but I’m guessing you’ve never taken any college classes on production or music theory or have a vocal coach like I currently do since my degree is in music Stating a fact isn’t arguing but pop off Lol bye

I bring you evidence that there was auto tune, then you show me some heavier auto tune, like that makes up for it? How do vocal coaches have anything to do with auto tune? I don’t want to keep this long though, because we don’t say so different things. I say there was a good amount of auto tune, you say it wasn’t that much. I wish you luck in your future music career btw, have a good day No family’s safe when I sashay

All her bruce springsten ingluenced songs are great Marry the night Bad romance Diamond heart. Its funny the songs more new york kind of billy joel style dont work that well. The more beatles inspired feel kinda vague. Truly ugh ha mind And the Queen ones are GOLD (Brown Eyes, for example).
bobbby 939
I agree that it's the best. I think for me what it is, is that she had these meteoric rise and there was SO much counting on Born This Way (the song and album) and they both exceeded every expectation. The promotion was insane, the looks were insane, and the anticipation was too so if it flopped it would have been catastrophic tbh, but instead if sold like crazy and really cemented everything. The album also has a very cohesive sound but experiments within and had a **** ton of singles. TFM is like the Big Little Lies. Everyone loves it. It's concise, there's no wasted space or seconds, and it's enjoyable start to finish. I personally like TFM more but who knows if I would feel the same way if TFM was as long as Born This Way. Used to be on here as broadwaybobby in TFM era

Lana Del Gay 853
I got really excited when I saw this, because people praise ARTFLOP all the time and it's boring. ARTPOP isn't even that good, Gaga calls her music on that album a masterpiece with no sense of being humble, it's just really vain. Born This Way, however, is humble, intellectual, it combines a wide range of genres, no skips or filler, really inspiring. It's a breath of fresh air that someone finally give it the praise it deserves. It got that high amount of sales for a reason. I'll stop fangirling BTW now lol. It's important to move on but I don't think Gaga moved on correctly with ARTPOP. Joanne was a step in the right direction. That rah rah bitch

Some other underrated bops are Government Hooker and Fashion Of His Love. Not saying that these are underrated in the Gaga community, but not very well known to the genric public. Give these tunes the credit they deserve people That rah rah bitch

TF/M maybe had bigger selling singles, but BTW had by far the biggest cultural impact of all her albums, and that's down to the quality of her songwriting which was at its peak during BTW. So many great ideas, all held together by a very clear theme of empowerment and strength/overcoming struggles. TFM's concept wasn't exactly clear in the songs, and we can all agree that ARTPOP's definitely wasn't. The instrumentation on BTW was varied and intersting, with each song having its own flavour, and yet they all were clearly from the same album. It's far more personal than Joanne too, I hate that just because Joanne has a "stripped back" aesthetic people think it's more personal and meaningful. BTW was way more clearly autobiographical and could only have been written by her, and touched on way more important and relatable subjects than the death of an aunt she never even met... The one single flaw with this album (apart from the filler, it definitely didn't need every song) is the mixing, and it annoys me so much because everything else about it was so incredible. I agree with you, but I like Joanne because she learned from the mistakes of ARTPOP, and was more humble and gave more meaning to her songs. No more of that "my ARTPOP could mean anything". Tell us what it means Gaga. What was good about stripping everything back for Joanne was she stopped being all high and mighty and instead focused on giving her songs some actual meaning behind them. Also, what songs are filler on Born This Way? A lot of people say 'Bad Kids' but I think it's a bop. That rah rah bitch

But Joanne was pretty vague and generic - other than Diamond Heart I feel like none of the songs really tell a clear story, or are specifically "Gaga". On BTW she was explicitly mentioning New York, her friends (Rivington Rebels), telling very clear stories. In terms of filler, I feel like Electric Chapel and HML don't really fit the theme of the album and aren't very interesting. Bad Kids, Hair and Highway Unicorn all do fit the album, but I don't think they were really necessary - the title track is enough really. Also FOHL, but that was a bonus track anyway. MR, Sinners Prayer, Joanne and JAD are pretty gaga specific and kind of story telling, Grigio Girls and DH are very gaga specific and very story telling CTM is very story telling but it's not about gaga since it was written mainly by FJM and he does a lot of story telling through his songs https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ

And you're right Sinner's Prayer I guess. But the title track lyrics are literally just basic clichés about a loved one who has died. "Heaven's not ready for you"; "Need you more than the angels do"... And I'm sorry I know you're a diehard MR stan but you're never going to convince me it's not a totally generic love ballad
