In Portugal it's mainly ppl who set it on purpose. High fire risk areas devalue and when someone wants to buy it for cheap it's become a common way to devalue land u want to buy People are arrested every year for purposely starting fires. There's also other fires they suspect were started on purpose but sometimes they can't prove it Since I used to live there I keep up with events in Portugal Their economy has been recovering from Eurozone crisis better than the rest of South Europe btw. They have had economic growth every year since crisis ended and deficit has been reduced to less than 1% of GDP (smaller than Canada's deficit now) They expect to start having surpluses in 2020! something Canada went back to in 2016 then a certain someone decided to start running deficits again (ahem cough cough Trudeau) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
