Oh I see...

Because I usually listen to music through a pretty decent set of speakers , I still wonder whether all of the songs available on these services have the equal sound quality as the one in physical CDs or in albums downloaded from Itunes...

CD quality is 16 bit 44100Hz sample rate. Which makes a 3ish min song really huge in size. To make it work for streaming, they will compress the song, hence removing the inaudible frequencies. However, some inaudible frequencies can be played on a nice set of speakers to create vibration on your skin. Therefore, if you are using decent speakers, CD is going to give you an experience closer to hearing live music, where you feel vibration on your body parts. This is my theory.

If you are just a causal listening with normal players, amplifiers, headphones and speakers, nowadays compression technology should be good enough for your untrained ears.

Apple’s compression codec is arguably better than Spotify’s since it can achieve the same file size while maintaining more details on the song.

Therefore sound quality wise IMO:

Tidal (provides uncompressed CD quality streaming on HIFI subscription) > Apple Music > Spotify

That week was the best week of my life :firega:

Same. I’m assuming ASIB will top it but I’m getting impatient :huntyga: I’ve waited since it was announced in fall 2016 so I guess I can keep going 🤣

and that's why Spotify >>>>>>>>>>>> Apple :huntyga:

That’s because Spotify you can manually updated banners and images yourself that updates automaticlally, as where Apple can take up to 3 days - they just have a more rigorous review process.

Everything is changing to the Las Vegas residency promo :green: it won't be LG6 for a while still because they would have to change it all again :triggered:

CD has the lossless masters on them, so it’s always the best copy (if you copy them from the CD directly instead of through a programme like iTunes, which if your settings are different can convert them to 320 mp3’s). Spotify streams in 320kbps and iTunes/Apple Music in 256kbpbs. Spotify is the best quality in technical terms, but there’s also no difference in quality between 256 and 320. You always won’t notice any difference in quality between streaming services (256/320) and lossless unless you have a very decent pair of headphones. TLDR; best quality from CD’s (or sites that sell lossless) and there’s no real difference in quality between Spotify and Apple.

Unless LG6 is tied into Vegas similar to how Britney Jean was (not saying this will be ha BJ though :green:) the way I see it she’ll either drop LG6 at the beginning of Enigma in December, or sometime in the break in feb-may. Both projects would promote eachother, plus she’s been in the studio a lot recently so I think she’s gearing up to a release tie in with Enigma.

I really believe she will put out something new (at least like an EP) before the residency starts :excited2:

oh but still we do know for a fact shes actively recording so im sure we will at least get songs from that and/or ASIB

I would just hate if all she was doing was remixing Poker Face etc. for the new show :(

I just don't wanna be disappointed. I need a new album. That's why I'm getting tickets for the second leg. More likely to have an album.

also, could it be she's holding out to release LG6 for the next Grammy cycle? I know they're irrelevant but she obviously cares about them like anyone would. It wouldn't make sense now. Plus she often does fall releases.
