What if LG6 is Disco/Funk inspired?

We know Gaga will probably not release a mainstream pop album. She will retain some elements of Pop and merge them with some other genres like she always does with her albums.

I personally think that LG6 might be inspired by Disco and Funk, with a bit of a futuristic touch. The Enigma poster couldn't be more suitable for that! The black in the background and the disco/club colors give me that vibe.

Honestly I really think it'd fit her voice so much! If she gives us some contemporary disco bop like "Show Me Love":

It better be, that's what I want! She should take the sounds of Venus, DWUW, Sexxx Dreams and Bloody Mary and put them in a blender for this album. Funky retrowave disco pop. If she came out with a single that sounded like Robyn's Dancing On My Own I'd be shook. If you don't know Dancing On My Own, you're not gay btw, turn in your card. It is our anthem.

please god no. disco/funk is sooooo not what a majority of pop music fans think it is.

Honestly, chained to the rhythm is a recent example of disco-pop, and it was horrid, and so bland.

Get Lucky is another example of recent disco is "get lucky," and while that song was done well, i find this genre of music tremendously blah.

this is neither disco nor funk, and neither are any of the examples of gaga songs you gave.

the closest example of disco that gaga has is "hey girl" and "disco heaven"

I know what disco and funk are, and this is somewhere between dance/retrowave. Sorry, I should've been more clear. This is like an updated disco sound, most things she does tend to be more futuristic and not exactly referencing the original genre. Those are not the only disco influenced songs she's done.

i wasn't trying to sound demeaning, I just see gaga fans always say they want disco for an album, but then cite songs that aren't at-all disco, so it leads me to believe that many people don't really know what disco is (and just assume its dance-pop).

Disco, in my opinion, is really dated, and even more modern interpretations (chained to the rhythm, get lucky) don't really add much to pop music.

I wouldn't personally mind if gaga explored disco more (i want your love is another gaga disco song I forgot about) but i'd prefer if it wasn't a whole album (and it would have to be as great as madonna's hung up -- contemporary disco done right)

Im assuming hard electronic/industrial/maybe some sweeter rnb influenced elements a la the cure.

OMG if it was disco, I'd be crying. I love disco and I've been waiting for Gaga to make something Disco-inspired

I NEED to meet Gaga tbh
