“Tinted” Horse was no1 single and even tho Bad Romance is actually more iconic it never reached no1. This is made by stats and not opinions.

You're absolutely right, but Bad Romance was #1 worldwide besides basic ass USA. Bad Romance peaked #1 EVERYWHERE!  DH went #1 in alot less countries than BR. So in terms of stats, Tinted Horse higher than God Romance is :ladyhaha: laughable

Billboard's formulas are such a mess though. There is no way Just Dance is bigger than Poker Face or Bad Romance as this list suggests, given that Just Dance is only 8x Platinum, meanwhile Bad Romance and Poker Face are both Diamond or more.

The same with Katy. This suggests E.T. was a bigger hit than both Roar and Firework, even though E.T. is only 8x Plat while Roar and Firework are both Diamond.

Billboard shouldn't be given the final word on what the biggest female songs this century are, as clearly there is some disparity between the ranking they've posted, and the sales of the songs themselves.

This list only covers their Hot 100 performance, not the overall scale of a song's success.

To be fair though, you're talking about sales and streams when you're talking about platinum and diamond certifications. Their time on radio is important too. There are lists for those as well. But to be honest, they're less accurate because of the changes in the sales and streaming environments. Like it is WAY easier for a song to have been certified platinum in 2011 than a song from 2001, because the digital era made sales of songs rise exponentially. That's why i think the Hot 100 is actually the best way to compare songs from different years, because it corrects for the changing music environment.

Haroon

Katy killing it with 7 entries :woot: You go :worship2:

I'll still never understand how Rolling in the Deep was bigger in the US than Someone Like You, like it's been so many years and I still can't wrap my head around it :toofunny:
