Why won't Gaga work with Ryan Tedder despite his interest?

Gaga seems to have a pretty generalistic negative opinion on "star producers". In 2011, she told Billboard they are ruining the music industry by dictating the sound to artists*. While this may be true for some of them like Dr.Luke etc... It's really unwise to put all people in the same basket. There are some famous producers that are very good, artistic and cooperative like Greg Kurstin and Ryan Tedder.

She’s works with Kurstin! He did Your Song. I don’t think she should necessarily against them anymore but I trust she’s privy to more info than we are on these industry matters and the dirt on people so if she makes statements like these I’m sure they’re at least somewhat founded (somewhat).

Was released at the exact same time with Drunk In Love. Drunk In Love was liked more by radios, so they sort of ignored the other one lol

I'm no label executive, but to me that was an OBVIOUS smash that should have not been wasted as a double single release or a promo single or a test single etc.

I prefer her not to rely on hit machines like some of her peers do. LG is kind of in her own lane and does her own thing and I like that. However, I think she should be like Adele and still give them a shot for the odd song (Max Martin did "Send My Lover"). Just don't make your whole sound revolve around them like say Katy Perry.

Honestly I really wonder what's going on in Gaga's management team. For those who don't know Ryan Tedder is a very hot songwriter and producer in the industry right now. He worked on everything from 21, 25, to 1989 and Beyoncé (self-titled), so basically some of the most successful albums of this decade. He wrote Halo, Bleeding Love (N1 song for those who are too young to know it), Rumor has it, Turning Tables, XO, Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone" etc... Billboard named him the "Undercover King of Pop" based on the consistent success of the material he worked on over the years.

In 2017 he expressed interest in working with Gaga on her new album. Yet we haven't seen any indication that Gaga responded to him... He seems to really like her and saying that she should be careful with Fame in 2009 because she's "bigger than life".

I just can't possibly imagine how Gaga would ignore such a great opportunity to work with a great established producer/songwriter and work with people like Boyz Noise who don't have anything close to a hit to date lol (sorry but true..) I was really hoping for LG6 to be as big as Beyoncé's 5th album, or Adele's albums. But unfortunately, Gaga is unlikely to reach such level until she enlists the right producers/songwriters to help her. It's really sad to see Gaga's talent be undermined by bad management choices in my opinion.

Maybe Ryan isn't the type of sound Gaga is looking for currently. She could work with him in the future

Gaga's management is absolutely fine

THIS, I don't want Gaga to work with hit machines because that comes off as desperate. I love when Gaga works with people who don't have a hit, and turn it into a hit

It's probably nothing personal. She just seems really picky with who she collaborates with, if and when she has the control to do so. And now it seems like she definitely has a lot of creative control, if not total (as opposed to the probable ARTPOP situation).

Katy Perry can relate

He's been caught using the same chords/melodies (see Beyonce - Halo and Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone) and he's probably the type to want most of the writing credits so I can imagine Gaga wouldn't want that.

Idk but I’m not complaining. His songs are the epitome of dad music to me. (Not coming for dads or anything)

He makes basic suburban music.

Adele's Remedy, Turning Tables, Rumor Has It are basic suburban music?

Beyoncé's Halo (arguably her best song she closes almost every show with it) and XO are basic?

Taylor Swift's "I Know Places" from 1989 is basic?

If anything in all of these songs, his songwriting is much more superior to any songwriter Gaga worked with. And reason I was hoping Gaga would work with him is because I'd love to see better lyricism in her music.

Let's just say we really have very different views on music.

Maybe she doesn’t want to? He isn’t as great as you think he is? Like WE- ya’ll say he wrote XO for Beyoncé?( the song I always make sure to skip of that album skjdjd SOOOOOooo...) I mean I respect him and think he’s cool but sweeties...

She's a much, much better songwriter herself. Ryan is good, but he's good for just singers that can't write themselves. In comparison to actual artists...
