Why won't Gaga work with Ryan Tedder despite his interest?

She doesn't want to? IDK, it could be some issue with her label?

I don't really understand why everyone wants her to work with every successful producer who's worked with major artists. Just because someone works with a producer who's worked with Beyonce or Taylor doesn't mean it's a guaranteed hit. And really it doesn't even matter at this point. Pop music isn't the same as it was and I don't think with the format music is heading nowadays it's going to be the same as it was before. I'd much rather see Gaga work with someone who lets her reach her vision rather than just making a hollow hit.

If anything "The Cure" and "Applause" are what I call "hollow hits" (which is why I was hoping she'd work with different producers because I really hated the cure). I wouldn't call songs like Halo, Bleeding Love and XO "hollow hits". If anything they sound so different and timeless and have great lyrics. Since when this bop is a "hollow hit" I'm triggered :laughga:. Radio-friendly ballads like those should become Gaga's strength right now. She's really matured and I would love to see her maturity reflected in her music, which is why I would understand why she wouldn't want TFM 2. I'd be totally down for music like this, and Sia's etc...

The Cure is definitely not as substantial compared to her other singles, but then again it was just a standalone single with no promo. Applause, a hollow it?? Maybe we're listening to different tracks :ladyhaha:  When I said I don't want her to produce "hollow hits" I don't want her to just make songs for the sake of being commercially successful. That seems to be what a lot of fans want is for her to reach that level of success again. People want her to work with big producers because they think that means they'll give her commercial success again. I'd much rather her gaining success authentically rather than fitting into an algorithm.

It's not about commercial success actually. It's about legacy. There are songs that no matter what the trend is, they'll do well and they'll be remembered forever! Personally I'd love to see radio-friendly ballads from Gaga, like Thinking Out Loud, Halo, Let Her Go, Hello etc...

What I dislike about Madonna is that her music did not evolve really, she sticked to the same sound. That's not the route Gaga is going for. That's certainly a positive thing. But I think she still needs to surround herself with the right people. Because her best album is yet to come. If she works with the right people on the right sound, she'll have the album of her career (which she didn't have yet).

I have massive respect for his songwriting and artistry and I would love for them to work together really.

Some people want to work with Gaga just to be associated with her so she might be a little distant when it comes to collaborating with major producers/writers

He actually seems a very nice person so I'm sure he would actually enjoy working with her I just feel it's up to Gaga to decide

I'm sure we'll get lots of radio friendly ballads from ASIB :vegas: Judging from the reactions of people who were on set I'm pretty confident about the quality of the music. In my opinion Gaga already has a string of radio friendly hits so I wouldn't mind her being more experimental in her music. I'm sure the soundtrack for ASIB will garner lots of the GP's interest so having LG6 being entirely different would be refreshing
